Im just wondering becuase me and my friends and family are between the sizes of 10 and 28 and i dont want us to look like the fat clan over there! my friend is really nervous becuase she is 280 pounds and she thinks everyone will stare! ive tried calming her down about but she is having second thoughts!!|||I was just there...everyone is pretty large and wearing BIKINIS! Also, I was one of the only moms there that did not have a tattoo. No one pays attention to anyone else. I wore swim shorts and a tankini top and I'm a fatso too.
Just go have fun and don't worry about the three skinny ladies with the fake boobs.|||Anywhere you go there's always a mix of super thin and the overweight. There's nothing you can do about people staring, but just remember that those who care don't matter and those who matter don't care :)
Realistically though, one thing to think of though is that there are sometimes weight limits on waterpark rides. The place I was at this week had a scale sitting right next to where you get on the slide. It could potentially be very embarassing. I'm not sure about Hurricane Harbor, there's nothing I could find on their website, but you might want to call so you can be prepared.|||People are pretty tolerant, but you can't control the behavior of thousands of people. If they stare, it's THEIR problem. Pi$$ on 'em, I say. If you're that big, you will either have to deal with an occasional stare, or not go out at all. Or get the lap band. You can't control others' behavior, only your own. I've seen many large people that are not happy with their body size, but they deal with it. If your friend truly is not happy, then I suggest some medical help.
Good luck, have a BLAST!|||i use to work there, people don't really care. only the really skinny (bitchy chicks like the ones you went to high school with) will stare, everyone else is to busy enjoying themselves and complaining about the heat.
pack sunblock, keep hydrated and enjoy it, and ignore the stupid cows, they're just pissed cuz they're hungry.|||if it's the one in LA there will be a mix of people including some very hefty people and some very thin people. the stares happen ANYWHERE just try and ignore them. your friends entitled to live her life and should be shunned for not being a size zero. it's understandable for her to feel awkward just try and keep her mind off of it.|||You cannot guarantee not getting "looks" no matter where you go, no matter what size you are. Just keep your friend good company and ignore any stares -- or, better, take the stares with humor. You're going to an Amusement Park: Just have fun!|||There are overweight women everywhere, I can't promise overweight people are the majority at Hurricane harbor, but I am sure there are a few there! Don't be so self conscious, go there and enjoy yourself and don't care what anyone else thinks! You only live once!|||You should be more worried about the diseases that you can get for going there. I would never go to such a place, especially because people urinate in the water and you can get foot or nail fungus.|||umm... dont worry about you just have fun who cares if ppl are staring at you they have a problem and they are rude you are ppl to just becuz you are not super thin dosnt mean your not human just have fun and keep your head up high! good luck|||Plenty of fat people there. Yes, people will stare, but they do that anywhere.
