hot i guess you would say. We were at a water park and well she was wearing a bikini. Up until that point I never thought of her in that way. It was always a relationship based on getting to know her better and what a great person she was. However, I cant deny that I got some pleasure seeing her in a bathing suit. I get my friend to tell her this and shes happy about it?): Shes happy that I think she looks good. Is this good bad or just normal?|||Definitely good! Why would you think bad? D= Girls like to know if guys think they look good especially if it's their boyfriend or the guy they like! It makes them really happy. Next time you see her you tell her she's hot, pretty, or whatever strikes your fancy! No more relaying messages to your friend. Now go!!

well this summer I thought it would be SO cool if me and my friend went to work at the same place. Since were on the high school swim team I thought "lifeguards" so we applied online (he applied a week earlier) and he just got an E-mail saying he got the job, but he didn't go in for an interview. so should I??
P.S I don't have a lifeguards license but he said I could get one easy in about a week or so.|||For sure I don't know what job doesn't need an interview, so go.|||Absolutely!

So, I'm going there this weekend for the first time in about 4 years? Anyways, I want to bring a (water proof) camera there, and bring it up to the rides, but I don't know if they'll let me, so anyone know the answer to that one?
Oh and, food and drinks. What type of food and drinks are we allowed to bring in there? At the website, there's no information :(
I prefer if you answer it from personal experience or you know for sure. I don't really like, "I think.." or "most likely..." or "maybe..." Straight answers are better.
Thanks :)|||I know for sure they won't let you take the camera on any of the slides for safety reasons, but I have used one in the wave pool, lazy river, and general play areas. You are not really allowed to bring any outside food into the park at all, but we always bring a backpack with towels and extra clothes and just stuff a water bottle, a sandwich and some snacks (nuts, fruit snacks, candy, pretzels, fruit, etc.) in there too. No one has ever given us a hard time at security when they check the bags, just be sure nothing is in a glass container. Have a great time :D
I was just at Six Flags St. Louis yesterday with my sister (it was amazing by the way) we just did roller coasters though. Next week we're going back to do the water rides, and my little cousin is coming with us. She's concerned about the water depth, because she's not a very good swimmer. I tried to assure her that there was nothing to worry about, but she's still a little worried so I want to make sure she's fine with going. She's 11 but she's tall for her age, almost as tall as me and I'm 5'8. Are there any water rides that are deeper and that she should stay away from? However, if she's not a good swimmer, and the lifeguards see this (there are lifeguards at the bottom of each slide to help people out of the water) they may ask her to wear a life jacket on the slides. As far as the pools being really deep, most are pretty shallow, and if she has trouble "swimming out" of the pool, a lifeguard will be more than happy to assist her.|||None of them are deep,
the water rides are 4ft and less mostly 3ft i think.

i guess my question really is: whats the best/fast way to increase in the arm area as well as get a tan b4 i go..you could say i got a farmers tan..it stops halfway up my arm and my neck...so if i just sit in the sun for like 30 min a day would it help?

which water park is better, as for as thrill rides?|||Hurricane Harbor if you like wild water rides, if you want a more tame time then Raging Waters, but our sons enjoyed them both. Knots Soak City is a good one as well.

Whats great about it? What are the best rides? Are the Majority of the people Fat,Skinny,etc....? Food Prices? Best Place to eat? Should I even eat there? Is it crowded on Sundays? What day is less packed? I just want some information I cant get off the website. Please and Thank you for you opinions and facts.|||I love that place I used to go a lot when I was younger. There are a lot of families and it gets crowded because its summer and hot. There are all kinds of people fat and not....don't know why you need to know that though. There are loads of diff rent slides some are black tubes that don't let light in and some are blue that do and some are not even tubes. My favorite rides though are the ones where you are with a group and go down in a raft.

- You can ask for a life jacket, I would stay out of the wave pool if you can't swim. It can be overwhelming and the depth drop off catches a lot of weak swimmers by surprise.
- No rivets on swimsuit or board shorts, they cut up the slides and they will not let you ride, even if you waited an hour for the slide.

Which one do you prefer....?|||(this is assuming its in CA) well since its hot this summer if you want to get wet then youd better go to hurricane harbor. number one, its cheaper; only bout $30 a day and usually all their water rides are open everyday. like other people said the wave pool closes often, yes its true but its not that bad of a wait and the wave pool goes for for about 15 min so while your catching your breath waiting for the next one you can catch some rays. i suggest you go during the middle of the week seeing as it is the summer and the weekends are crowded. six flags magic mountain is better left for the evenings or when it cools down because the lines can get pretty long. Hurricane Harbor is open on the weekdays from 10:30am - 7:00pm and weekends from 10:00am - 8:00pm and Magic Mountain on weekdays 10:30am - 10:00pm. If its hot out you definitely want to go to hurricane harbor. It might be a little packed so you want to get there early when it just opens. The wave pool they have is probably where you'll be at for a majority of the time and is sorta the main thing there. I suggest that while your there you go on the giant tube rides, they're extremely awesome and really fun. On the one ride though it seems like your going to fly over the edge. I go there every year and I have a lot of fun, so if your the type of person who loves water rides, swimming, or relaxing by the wave pool, you definitely want to go to Hurricane Harbor instead of six flags.|||Six Flags without question! Hurricane Harbor is fun, but it's pretty small, but six flags is huge! So...where to put? :O|||The keys used to have an elastic cord attached to them so you can wear it as a bracelet. But alot of them have broken off. Look for a good one when you are looking for a locker. Or bring your own keychain with an attachment that you can use as a bracelet and attach the key to that.
Hopefully soon they will be going to the system like disney has where you open the door using a code instead of a key. I think the ones inside of Magic mountian are already like that since last year.

Just curious to know if anybody knows about water shoes being allowed at six flags in gurnee, IL. or any six flags for that matter? I went to the website and it says they're not allowed on water slides, but I've seen plenty of pictures with people wearing them at water parks, what about wearing shirts over swimsuits, I've also seen guys in t-shirts getting on water rides. Do they really care once ur there?|||i went there a few weeks ago and i've seen all of the above. i don't think they really care.|||Well, if you have to wear them wear um, but the shirts are allowed in the water but if you go down the slides they make you take it off.|||they are allowed at six flags|||No. water shoes, hats,glasses,or shirts, are not allowed but some of the workers are lazy and like to cut people slack (like me) so they dont really say anything.

or do you have to take them off?|||I don't know which hurricane harbor you're talking about. However, I'm very certain all of them allow you to wear something over your swimsuit. I recommend you contact the six flags theme park you're going to and ask if you may wear t-shirts and shorts or not.
I'm not too far from the location in Gurnee, IL. From what I remember, they allow you to wear something, but they advise to not carry items that may be damaged by water.

Does anyone know why it doesn't open until Mid June? It opens at the end of May for 3 days, then the first weekend in June and then officially at 12th of June it opens right up until Mid September.|||Pretty simple, really. (BTW, Hator, I give out the DUHs here, and this one doesn't quite qualify).
Yes, it's too cold most of the year. And because it's too cold, people won't go. It's really an attendance thing. The reason it's open for a few days in May and June are because of attendance. The last weekend in May is a holiday, and June weekends are when people start going to water parks.|||well duh to you on this question! it's too damn cold to open before then, yes the weather may be warm, but the water will be FREEEEZING
btw, don't ever go there, it's utterly disgusting! A friend of mine use to work with the maintenance crew there, and his team was responsible for cleaning the water and stuff, he said on any given day of operation, they could easily filter out over 50 gallons of urine out of the water, GROSSSSS

Raging Waters is the best and cleanest. It is not as new as the other ones, but it has the most rides and they are all very close together so you don't spend a lot of your time walking around the hot cement, you get to have super fun on the super rides. it is also the best deal. one downfall you don't have magic mountain right next to you like at hurricane harbor. or knotts berry farm like at soak city. and it depends on where you are coming from as well.

How much is the food?? is their a subway their how much is the food is it like pizza $5 or something. and how much are the souviners like the old guy puppet etc... thanks...in advance|||Since, you are talking about Hurricane Harbor, no you can't wear shorts, and a shirt in Hurricane Harbor only, but read on for further details. You have to wear a bathing suit. If you are guy, you can just wear the trunks, and wear a shirt, and if you are girl you have to wear your full piece bathing suit (top and bottom) but you could wear a shirt over your bathing suit if you want to!
For changing into other clothes, they have changing rooms, or you can use the bathroom. For storing your clothes, they have lockers and they are pretty expensive. I think they are around $10 plus.
How much is food?? It's very, very expensive! Across the street from Great America (to the left of Burger King - short distance away), there is a Subway that should have $5 footlongs though. Expect $10 for a meal at Great America. What, drinks about $3.50, or $4 alone.
For souveniers, and Mr. Six stuff, I don't know if they even have puppets, but there shirts are like $20.|||Would it be too personal if I did ask why a young girl such as yourself cannot wear a bathing suit? Yeah..you can wear shorts and a tank top on the rides but it would just look different since all boys will be too. The food is priced up though..thinking about $8-$10 and the souviniers are around $10-$20.

How do the lockers work? I heard that they don't actually lock. So, that worries me a little.
Also, if I buy a disposable camera and bring my sunglasses, can I bring hold those with me on the slides?
Thanks!|||leave everything in your locker even your camera they didn't let me bring it and told me to go put it away the guy told me that those were rules of the waterpark|||The lockers lock. I use them sometimes with my friends. You get a key that you can carry around. If you think you can keep hold on the camera and sunglasses or if you have a pocket and you don' mind them getting wet, you should be able to bring them. Also, if you have somebody waiting in a lounge chair by the wave pool or somewhere, you could probably keep your stuff with them. Have fun! The new slide looks awesome!

So my birthday is coming up and I decided I could do something everybody likes; an amusement park! ( I am inviting friends)
I need to make a decision between those two. And I just cannot figure it out.
I hope you guys can help me ;)|||If it's a hot summer day, then you may as well do Hurricane Harbor. Remember that it's a water park, and it has only water slides, pools, etc so it's a bathing suit kind of place for the day, and there's nothing to do outside of getting wet. It's perfect for a hot summer day, and little kids, tweens, teens, and adults have plenty to do to keep them busy at the park. If everyone is a good swimmer, and you are okay with some "wet fun" then go with Hurricane Harbor".
If you can stand the big crowds, and most of your friends, and you are into roller coasters, then go with Magic Mountain. Magic Mountain is definately an amusement park, with rides, shows, etc, whereas Hurricane Harbor is a waterpark, with again, only wet and water based things to do. Remember that both places will be crowded since it's summer, so do what most fits your interests.|||If it's hot, I highly recommend Hurricane Harbor. If you're going to stand in line for forever, you might as well have something to cool you off afterwards.
If not so, I'd go with Magic Mountain, there's more rides to go on.|||No questions asked.......

thankkss :)|||Which Sea World are you going to? Sea World can be very entertaining and informative. Many of the shows are fascinating peaks at how these rarely seen creatures live. Some are designed specifically with children in mind, ie the Adventures of Seymour and Clyde. Sea Worlds typically have a few rides, with the exception of the now defunct Ohio location, which offer a change from moving from show to show. Only the park in San Antonio has a connected water park, and Orlando has Aquatica which requires a separate admission. I think proper decorum dictates that you shouldn't walk around the park in your bikini, especially if you are attending a park that does not have water attractions. Definitely Great Adventure, more roller coasters than any other park I know. Hurricane Harbor is just water slides.|||hurrican harbor rocks!|||great adventure all the way|||great adventure has the kingda ka,skull mountian,and the nitro even though it doesn't have the most coaster of any parks it has the most inversions on roller coasters than any other park!|||i love great adventures the best...great adventures has all the chill coasters n rides n wat not but hurricane harbor has the water rides...the only thing that sucks is the lines are crazy long...so it comes down to do u feel like bein dry n waitin in like for 45 minutes or bein wet n waitin in line for 45 minutes (lol)|||Six Flags Great Adventure is much better than its nearby water park, Hurricane Harbor. SFGA holds the world's tallest and fastest roller coaster Kingda Ka, along with other great rides like Medusa and NITRO (#5 on the Amusement Today Top 50 Coasters List). Not to mention the new wooden coaster El Toro which features a brand new prefabricated type of track that supposedly makes the ride "as smooth as steel". But the park lacks thrill rides (aka flat rides) like Cedar Point's maXair, and Skyhawk. They also (as of May 2005 when I went) lack a logical exit, it narrows down to just 2 lanes and if you leave at closing its a nightmare, it took us literally 2 HOURS to get out of that park (the park closed at 9 and we pulled out onto the main road at 11).

Yes, I'm a girl and i hate wearing those underwear bikini bottoms. I like to wear board shorts or soffe shorts. Is that alright?|||You can wear board shorts or other tyes of swim shorts, but those are the only types of shorts that they will allow. You cannot wear sunglasses on the rides, they will make you take them off and hold them. They really is no need for them at a water park. Make sure the shorts that you wear are elastic waist, they don't allow buttons, snaps, or other types of metal ornamentation, though they will allow drawstrings if they don't have metal rivets.|||Yeah your allowed to wear them :)

The pools will likely be of varying depths from being a couple of feet up to perhaps 8 to 10 feet. If you go there keep a close eye on your little brother and if he goes into the water make 100% sure that he is wearing a life jacket. Do not take your eyes off of him and have fun~!!!!!
Going to huricane harbor tomorrow and idk what to do with my phne i cnt get a locker or leave it in the car cuz i need my phone to know when our ride hme is on the way and what time it is and there.s only 2 of us gng so theres no one to hold it. What can i do|||well i work at the park and at mine, we have lockers available for 14 dollars :(
You can ask guest relations and if all else fails make a huge hassle of it and they may hold on to it for you. But yeah if they don't have lockers you may be out of luck.
I def wouldn't leave it on a chair, another idea is to have someone hold your stuff while you ride and alternate but that obviously has its drawbacks as well. I would probably get a locker and have the person responsible for picking you up to have them text you. I think Guest relations will tell you the same thing.

ive never been to any, but i saw hurricane harbor,nj's website, and they only have 9 rides...1 is a wave pool..1 is a lazy river...1 is that high slide...those are like any typical water parks of course. so thats already 3 eliminated. the other 6...i heard the good one is called the tornado. then everything else is like for kids wich sounds boring
Deffinetly dorney park! They have the most amazing-ist lazy river ever. And those water rides are just outstanding. I loved it. Six flags is boring. ha

Hurricane Harbor is fun and heights isn't a problem primarily since you cannot actually feel how high you are as you slde down. the thing is as you walk up the stairs to get up the slide you start seeing how high you really are, so as long as you don't look down and keep yourself distracted while going up the stairs it will be all right.|||Well, it depends on the rides you go to... there are HUGE rides there, and there are some smaller ones. My advice is to start with Wild Rivers or Raging Waters. They have smaller, less intense rides but they still have the same amount of excitement!|||A fear of heights is an fear that one can over come if you choose to do so. And for some the easiest way to do so is to put yourself in a position to over come it. What better way then to do some thing absolutely fun and get over a fear at once sounds like a win win situation to me. You owe it to yourself to go!

There are usually rides/activities where the water is shallow. ( I know all this bc my husband is a wussy when it comes to water lol) I still have a great time on the kid rides too. Most of the adult rides here are slides, and when you get to the bottom pool, the water is only like 3 feet deep. Dont worry, There is always lifeguards incase you start to panic :-)|||Well, I'm going to HH and it's pretty crazy there. If you can't swim, don't go in the wave pool. Which water park is the best? My family and I are going to a water park and just can't decide where! So many options. Um, here's a request, it has to be shady with trees. Give an opinion/fact on each one of them.

Knott's Soak City - Buena Park|||All i know is that Soak City BLOWS. Its too small and just a couple of rides. I prefer Hurricane Harbor, because they have more play stuff for the kids and a season pass is really cheap|||raging waters is great. Its really big and you will have plenty to do, there is some shade you may want to rent a cabana
wild rivers is also great, but some rides are located far away from each other and require some walking, good amount of shade, and lots of places to rest
hurricane harbor is okay, it has fun rides, but it is extremely hot in the summer and you won't want to leave the wave pool. There is hardly any shade her and if there is shade it will still be blazing hot
soak city would be your last choice if you want to spend the day at a water park. the rides are fun but it is so small you can finish everything in 4 hours. Soak city offers a nice area with lounge chairs and a huge covered patio for guest to rest under|||I haven't been to Wild Rivers but I've been to Soak Cty, Hurricane Harbor, and Raging Waters.
Out of all of them I found Raging Waters the best.
It's much bigger than the 3 and there's a variety of cool rides and the lines are not that bad (but it really depends the day you go).

There's not THAT much shade at Raging Waters but there is a big grass area that does have a decent amount of shade.|||I prefer Knott's Soak City! The one in Palm Springs is fantastic!|||i like soak city and wild rivers the best

how is it|||really really fun. lots and lots of water rides|||Yes! I have been visit at Hurricane Harbor (Six Flags) in Dallas, Texas. I would like to swim in the outdoor pool, play on water slide, buy snack, and play video games all the times!!

So I really would like to be a lifeguard at Hurricane Harbor this summer. I am 16 so I an old enough to be one. But what I wont to know is about the training camp there. How hard is it really? And does HH pay for it(the training and CPR)?
So I know that you have to swim during the testing, but how long to you actually have?
I really what this to be answered by people who have worked at HH/are working at HH / or have just gotten the job there. The most up to date info would be fantastic.

From my experience with amusement parks they do their own certifications and I know the 6 Flags near me does not use the standard red cross stuff. The red cross swimming requires 500 yards I believe and I would expect 6 flags to be relatively similar|||At 6Flags they use a company called Ellis & Associates. You start out as a shallow water guard & have the option to move to deep later. The swim for shallow is 50 yards and to pick up a 10 lbs brick at 4 ft. you will learn all your CPR, O2, AED training and water training. its totally worth it all!! Report Abuse
I've never been, but my husband told me the water in most places is only around 4ft deep!|||50ft deep|||I have been there recently and the lazy river is about 3.5 ft deep the skull island is about 2.5 feet There is another kiddie pool about two inches.The wave pool goes from two inches to 5 feet but you can rent and use tubes soanyone can go in the wave pool.The slide pools are ALL 4 ft
i plan on going Sunday but it is 89 degrees F,but Great Adventure has better rides|||Go to Great Adventure. You'll be wearing more clothes and get less sun burnt. The water parks at Disney World are the only water parks worth going to anyway, IMHO.|||Go to great adventure. You can always go on the water rides there like the flume and congo rapids. If you don't want to wait in the super hour+ long weekend lines at great adventure since its going to be really hot go to hurricane harbor or get a flash pass.

there is kinda a big problem with me and water. i exactly dont know how to swim over my height. im 5" feet. and i panic if my feet dont touch the ground when in water, im in choir and were taking a field trip to hurricane harbor after our choir competition. im going on may 8th and im kinda scared i might drown, i was wondering if any of you guys know if im gonna be ok with all the rides water height. the deadline is very close and i need help. any suggestions would be great. thnx (:|||Six Flags, (and Hurricane Harbor in particular), have well trained waterfront staff who are always on the lookout for people in in the water who are having trouble. Many of the water rides are slides with a shallow landing pool at the bottom. The water is usually less than 3 feet deep with at least one lifeguard there to help you to the exit if needed. My child is 4 feet tall and can easily touch ground all throughout the lazy river and there at lifeguards everywhere along the way. I can't remember the name of the wave pool, but you may want to avoid it because it is the deepest pool in the park. It resembles the beach waves and starts out shallow and gradually gets deep enough to be over my head and I am 5'9''. It may fun to sit where the waves hit the "shore" though. Also the wave pool has the more lifeguards than all of the other attractions. Go, get wet, have fun! I'm sure you will do fine because there is something for everyone there.|||Go on the kiddie rides at first that have to do with water and then youll be all like (I can do better than this!) And fix it by moving up. Alsoooo, you can just go for it and make your friends sign a contract or something that says something like if you refuse to go, they can hit you or something like you owe them 20 bucks or something. Once you go on one and find that you didn't die, you'll have more fun I promise(:

Not Let Me Go Down The Slides?|||I just went to hurricane harbor yesterday and left my phone in my bag under my chair and it was fine the WHOLE day. You can hide it in 2 towels and it should be perfectly fine. I would carry it everywhere if you decide to ride roller coasters. They will not let you ride slides with your bag. Even your not COMPLETELY against getting a locker a small locker runs for $12 for the whole day. Hope that helped!
So my girlfriend, her sister, myself, and a couple of other friends (four females, which makes me the only male in this group) are looking at a June Six Flags trip. I did most of the planning work, and I am so excited about this trip that I already have the directions ready to be printed out.
All five of us reside within the Philadelphia region, so we're going to the one in Jackson, NJ. With that being said, we're aware that there is Great Adventures and Hurricane Harbor. I was drawn by the name Hurricane Harbor and thought that it would be more interesting than Great Adventures.
I've looked at a map for both parks to discover that Great Adventures was more bigger than Hurricane Harbor, so then my interest went back to Great Adventures. I originally was going to take a trip to both parks on the same day but decided against it because for one person, both parks would be $69 something, and my girlfriend's sister would have to drive back and fourth, so I'm not so sure if the different rides and food options would be worth the money. Plus there's already a $15.00 fee for parking.
I thought that maybe Hurricane Harbor had a bigger water park. I don't know. Does Great Adventure have a water park? I mainly want those who have already been to either parks and have the Six Flags experience but people who have NOT been to Six Flags may answer too. Also, is there a picnic area like at Dorney Park?
Does the NJ Turnpike, the Tacony Palmyra Bridge, or the Black Horse Pike have one of those dark tunnels lit by the beautiful orange lights? I LOVE those tunnels. My girlfriend and I want to have to go through those on the way there. Suggestions? Thoughts?|||This is all you need to know...Hurricane Harbor is purely a waterpark and Great Adventure is a "dry" park - it's the type that has rollercoasters, flat rides, shows, etc. (there are some water rides, like log flume and rapids ride). So basically if you just want to go on water rides (slides, pool, etc.), then HH is your answer...if you are looking forward to rollercoasters and other basic amusement park rides (skyride, ferris wheel, etc.) then go to Great Adventure. If you go to the website, you should be able to determine pretty quickly that Hurricane Harbor is just a waterpark and Great Adventure does not have a waterpark inside of it...
It's really hard to do both parks in one day - so I would advise you just to pick one, especially since Great Adventure is a pretty decent size.
I'm not sure about the picnic area...I know they have one, but I think you need to pay for it (it's used for groups and you need to reserve it...I think) - but I'm not 100% sure, you can call and ask.
Umm..and I don't know about the tunnel thing...

I haven't been to go NRH2O in years, nor have I been to Hurricane Harbor. I am 22 years old and my husband and I would like to go to one of them but don't know which one is better. im gonna go to six flags with my friends. im wondering if we can also fit hurricane harbor in with that. were gonna be there from when the park opens to when it closes. we wanna go on most of the roller coasters but would we still be able to fit hurricane harbor in with out rushing & stuff?|||if you mean the six flags great america one you can do it.
the key is getting their before the park opens then running to raging bull when the inside part of the park opens. From there you can do giant drop then viper. If you move at a fast pace this should take no longer then 45 mins. use the other 15 mins to go to a bathroom(the one by the orbit and the 3 point shootout works best.) Change your clothes in there and then your ready to ride. Ride typhoon first in the waterpark then the purple speed slide riptide rush then the blue slide next to it. After that do whatever water rides your heart desires. At the end of the night in the last hour you should try and ride superman and v2 so u avoid them during peak hours. Sprinkle in the other rides you want to do during the day and have a great time|||you should be able to. i would recommend looking online for a map of the park before you go, and try to prioritize where you want to go. it would be easiest to go to hurricane harbor either first or last, rather than in the middle. if you go first then you can dry off on all the rides but it cuts rollercoaster time shorter. there are also different hours for hurricane harbor versus the whole park, so you should look into that.

Okay, if you go then there are 9 rides that have a raft so you would be okay on those. i would stay away from shotgun falls and hydramaniac because they both end up in 12 ft pools. i would also stay away from der stuka and Geronimo...they end up in 4 1/2 ft of water but some people freak out there. there are a few other body slides that would be fine for you. hope you have fun!!

um...personally i like all the rides and slides so i wouldn't know what to tell you to visit. but the twister(tornado? i forgot the name of it...) is definitely worth stopping by

However, if you have a season pass for a Six Flags park with a nearby Hurricane Harbor, then you MAY find some discount coupons in your season pass coupon book.
Hate to bring the bad news, but you will have to pay to get into Hurricane Harbor.

They both have one of those giant funnel slides, they both have a wave pool, and they both have a lazy river.
I have only been to Hurricane Harbor, but I still think it is better than Soak City.
First of all, it looks like it is a lot bigger than Soak City.
Second, the slides there are a little higher up, like Venom Drop, one of those drop slides. It's freaking tall. Also it has the tallest enclosed slides in Southern California.
If you like scarier slides, you should go to Hurricane Harbor. Otherwise... well, to be honest I don't really know what to say about Soak City. The water parks listed below on this page are Southern California's largest. And, although they each give their water slides and attractions different names, you'll find the following general features at each one:

What makes "good"?
Hurricane Harbor has most of what is listed although I would not call most of them rides - an exception being when you get to drag a large innertube to the top of a river like trip. The place has several body slides that are high and higher and one with humps. There are several closed tube runs some long, one dark, most very twisty, one not so that ends with a greater drop into the water. So tomarrow im going to hurricane harbor (texas) but its my first time going at this particular park.
Im going with some little kids but I don't know how deep the ends of the slides are and im worried about them because they can't swim well.
like the free fall slides;; how deep are the pools??

i am going to six flags and hurricane harbor on tuesday and wednesday, and i was wondering wats it like? is it trashy ? is it funn?? just tell me wat you know :)|||Both places are very nice. There are all sorts of rides at Six Flags, but there are a lot of roller coaster rides so I hope you like those. There are also some water rides & you'll probably get a little wet but that will feel good on a hot day. The food at Six Flags isn't the best. If you want to go to a nearby restaurant to eat, have your hand stamped before you leave Six Flags so you can return to the park without paying again.
Hurrican Harbor is fun too. Most people like the slides. I like the Lazy River. You'll have so much fun.|||A lot of FUN!!!!!

I've been to another water park before and it wasnt bad since the end of the rides didnt have deep ends but how deep are the end of rides at Hurricane Harbor? Are there rides that are deeper than 5 feet?|||There's only 2 ride complexes I know of with deep landing pools, and both of these rides are "drop-off" slides, meaning the slides do not go all the way down to the water; you drop off the edge of them and freefall into the pools below. The wave pool has a deep end, and that's pretty much it.|||I do believe some pools are deeper than 5 feet, but if you are very concerned, maybe you should ask for your friends to wait for you to come out and swim to help you out. There are a lot of rides.The only thing I would advise you to do is make sure you don't wear a cotton top, because some of the rides won't allow you to wear anything but a bathing suit or a top with wet suit material, but other than that it's pretty cool.. However, she should be able to tell that by looking before she trys it and is embarrased. You'll both have fun even if you can't do it all.

the hurricane harbor in valencia california|||ya tell them u keep kosher or your on a special diet or something but hey dont allow coolers|||type in "six flags theme parks" in your browser but probably not we racently went to h h in arlington,tx and no food was alowed in because of the vendors there we got our hands stamped went and ate and came back|||Official word is no, but I have never had any trouble with snacks and stuff through security. But if you have a cooler or like a full meal, they will ask you to return it to the car and when you are ready for lunch, eat it in the picnic area in the parking lot - where all the bee's are!

You can rent them for the pools and stuff, but if you bring your own then you can save sum money, you just have to deal with the hassle of carrying it around.|||they provide them. you can also rent one there and it would be yours for the whole day. it costs money though.|||No we want you to swim.

ok im going in a couple of days and me and my friends r going to hurricane harbor and they dontlet us in without prrper dress code likea swimsuit but we muslims cant wear anyhting above the ankles and show our arm above the elbow so if ur a muslim and u have been to hurrican eharbor wat did u wear?|||call the customer service department for the park.
im sure they will make an exception for religious attire like this.|||maybe they'll let you in with a wet suit that covers your whole body. Other than that I dont know of another way. why not go to another theme park that dosnt have dress codes like great america, magic mountain, or even marine world.

They definately do not allow them on body slides, sometimes they will let you wear them on the other slides though. But thats a whole different county and metro doesnt run in Valencia or Santa Clarita. You can go to the Union Station in L.A. and catch the train all the way down to Santa Clarita and It willl drop you off very close to Six Flags. Look up Amtrak.com or Metrolink.com. It's pretty cheap to take the train.

I'd be going to the one in Illinois this summer.|||hurricane harbor is free. just like the rides. i get season passes every year. you just have to have a pass to get into the park and then you can get into hurricane harbor|||the season pass is for the whole park i go to the one in Illinois all the time cause that is the one i live around.|||I think there are two season passes you can get. One just gets you in to Six Flags and the other one gets you in to both(really expensive). Look on their website.|||I know in Texas if you buy a Season's Pass it only works for one or the other.|||it is together in the same park|||its not seperate you can use the same pass for either one

I have no idea where hurricane harbour is, so I cant comment on the place. But the temperature you mention is probably ambient and not the surface temperature of the ground. You can probably expect the ground to be hotter than ambient. Nonetheless, 100 degrees (no doubt in the old Farenheiht measurement) is not so terribly hot. It is not uncommon for people to walk barefoot on the ground in equatorial regions when the temperature exceeds 50 degress Celcius (well over 120 Far). The hottest I have ever been in is 57 deg Celcius, and my feet did not have a problem.|||SHOES

Realistically though, one thing to think of though is that there are sometimes weight limits on waterpark rides. The place I was at this week had a scale sitting right next to where you get on the slide. It could potentially be very embarassing. I'm not sure about Hurricane Harbor, there's nothing I could find on their website, but you might want to call so you can be prepared.|||People are pretty tolerant, but you can't control the behavior of thousands of people. If they stare, it's THEIR problem. Pi$$ on 'em, I say. If you're that big, you will either have to deal with an occasional stare, or not go out at all. Or get the lap band. You can't control others' behavior, only your own. I've seen many large people that are not happy with their body size, but they deal with it. If your friend truly is not happy, then I suggest some medical help.

They do offer towels in their gift shops but they come with a hefty price tag. They know they can get away with selling them at high prices in the gift shops though, because there will always be someone who forgot a towel. It's best to remember to bring your own towel from home. You can always stash the gear in a locker when you are done at Hurricane Harbor. You will need separate clothes for Hurricane Harbor anyway as you have to wear appropriate and official swim wear, and you can't wear swim wear at Six Flags, only Hurricane Harbor.|||Yes they sure do. Most positions, like lifeguard, start at 16. However, lifeguard positions fill up early, they may not be hiring and more lifeguards. If you are 16 and looking for a job you can try ticket taker or something of the like.

There are many depths, it all depends on what ride/attraction you are going on. The lazy river is usually around 3-4.5 feet deep, the wave pool goes from 0ft to about 5, most water slides are less then one feet deep, and some of the bigger water slides (the ones with the big rafts) are about 2 feet deep.|||no more than 4 feet the slides are like one foot and the wavepool is 5 feet deep lazy river 4 feet i am not sure about the drop though i never went on the drop

SFHH in LA, next magic mountain will most likely be crowded, especially if the weather is good. It was last year. Lots of locals have the double park season pass and tourists that are visiting want a water park to go to.
It's a salt-based system. Nothing different than having a salt-water pool in your back yard. Chlorine is sodium-based, but chlorine can be irritating and even potentially harmful to sensitive swimmers, so salt-water systems are used as an alternative. Salt-water pools are basically chlorine-based pools, only without the additional chemicals but serve the same purpose: to kill bacteria and other harmful contaminants in the water. They are also cheaper and easier to maintain.
I am going to hurricane harbor and i would like to know what i should bring. Like what kind of shoes, backpack, etc.|||You will have your shoes off most of the day, since it's all water rides, flip flops are great, so are water socks (all though they are considered dorky). Bring as little as possible, mainly you will want a towel, a change of clothes for the end of the day, sunglasses or a hat, and sunscreen. You should also bring a plastic bag to put wet clothes in. You will want to rent a locker to stash your stuff in during the day while you are playing on all of the water rides. At the end of the day, you'll go to the locker and get your clothes so you can change to go home without soaking the car. YOU SHOULD CHECK IT OUT.|||If it's a "separate gate" park (like the one in NJ or CA), then you cannot use your Six Flags season pass - you would have to get another pass for Hurricane Harbor. If it's a Hurricane Harbor that is attached to the Six Flags amusement park and there's no separate entrance free (like the park in MD), then you can use your Six Flags pass since you have to enter Six Flags to even get to the waterpark.
So basically if it's a "separate gate" watermark, then you need to purchase separate admission/pass. If it's connected to the park and there's no "extra" entrance fee for that watermark, then you will be allowed to go in with the pass.|||No, not really. The only season pass that gets you into both parks is the Combo Pass. The regular season pass only gets you in the six flags theme parks, NOT the water parks. General stuff you can bring are towels (both for the park and the car), a change of clothes, suntan lotion, and especially money b/c theme park prices aren't necessarily the cheapest in terms of food or drink.

Hurricane Harbor|||well in st.louis on the speed slides you cant were a shirt|||Usually the rules for waterparks are the same. You can wear t-shirts on raft type rides, but on body slides, you have to take it off and hold it due to the danger of getting it caught on something on the way down .

The cost of the season pass is just slightly more than a 1 day ticket so if there is ANY chance that you will be going twice then get yourself a season pass. Ok I am a 13 year old girl and I will be going to Hurricane Harbor on friday with a couple of my friends, I am planning on bringing a little backpack including: phone, money, towel, brush, detangling spray, hair ties, bobby pins, I think that's it, where would I keep the bag? would my friends get annoyed of me if i got a locker and kept having to go back to get something from it? how much money should I bring not including admission fees?|||I would bring about $100. I think a locker is you best bet to keep things safe. You probably won't have to go back too much.|||I would bring about $200 or $300, because... DROPS can make you feel hungry after all those screaming and your stomach turning upside down... You'll get REALLY hungry!

For those of you that have been to hurricane harbor LA an gone on tornado and black snake summit... can u give me a good review and description of those two rides or slides.|||I have been on tornado, it is really fun.
It's really no big deal, I'm scared of heights and I still went on.
At the beginning you grab a special raft and you can watch people go in the funnel while you wait in line on the stairs. After the stairs, you get into the water on the raft and the helper pushes you and you go down a little drop that puts you into the funnel. You go back and forth on the different sides of the funnel until you finally go through the bottom into a pool. It's really not bad.
I personally am not sure which ride Blake Snake Summit is, but I'm thinking it's one of the black tall ones. They always have little kids coming down, so I'm sure you will be fine. And if all else fails and you get too scared, there's plenty of other things to do.
MY ADVICE: Make sure you go on Bamboo Racers and the Family Ride!!!!! :)

in NJ Six Flags Great Adventure is getting into hurricane harbor extra $40 or do u get to go anywhere with the 40 u pay for the main park|||It's included in general admission, no extra charge.
The food is expensive as hell though.|||you cant pay extra you ot 2 wait ur turn like everybody else until you get in|||nope. it's complimentary with general admission. it's expensive though, so make sure you spend a lot of time there on a nice day. also, try the chicken legs!!
yes the water park is inside of the theme park and there is no additional charge to use the water park. it is included in your park admission ticket.

Schlitterbahn is just huge, the biggest one in the world. Because the New Braufels one is the oldest, they like it best and have the best rides imaginable. |||Any of the Schlitterbahn Parks in Texas (don't come up to Kansas it sucks (for now) I've been there twice.) If you have a choice go to South Padre because you really don't have to get out of the water for most of the rides they just have a conveyor belt going up to there like 7 uphill water slides. Plus if you only have one day you'll probably be able to do everything at Schlitterbahn, possibly everything at Sea World that's exciting (Sea Worlds not THAT exciting), probably not everything at Hurricane Harbor and gurantee no at Six Flags. If you go to the other two Schlitterbahn Parks in Texas you'll probably not be able to get everything done but it is like 3 parks in one. So it would still be a good value.|||I'd go with Schlitterbahn (the original in New Braufels).

would it be stupid to go just to go and swim?|||It's okay if you can't swim. All the water slides empty into fairly shallow pools and there are lifeguards at the bottom of every one. The wave pool is the only thing you may have a problem with but you can stay in the shallow end and there are warning sirens before each set of waves and there are lifeguards watching you. You didn't say which Hurricane Harbor you were planning on going to. But each one has a range of slides. There are some that are "deep" pools, generally 6-8 feet at most, and you do need to know how to swim and be confident in the water. But others are shallow(4 feet or under) or non-existent. They do offer floatation devices for use at the park, and you would have to check to see if those are allowed on any of the slides.|||Hello completely random stranger on the internet! What am I gonna do with my wallet? Leave it at a table. Can I bring a life jacket for my 4 year old? Do I need to? Can I bring my own air floats or do I have to rent theirs?|||You will more than likely be able to bring a bottle of water into the park, but snacks won't be permitted.
It would be best to rent a locker for all of your things; you should leave your wallet in there. If you want to still carry around money, get swim shorts that have a zippered pocket and keep some cash in there. Don't worry about the wet money--water park employees are used to getting soggy bills.
You don't need to bring a life jacket; the park will have some on hand and they are free to use while you're there. However, you will NOT be allowed to bring in your own tube/raft/any pool toys or inflatable things. The good news is that nearly all parks will let you use their innertubes with no charge for the attractions that require them.

Hey if your in high school go to the work expirience office at your school and get an application there, but the park will be closing soon for the winter,so i would jump on it.
I'm a diabetic and making a trip to Hurricane Harbor.
I'm also using a pump which is not water proof.

I can't leave it off for long periods of time.|||If you have a friend or family member who is too chicken to ride a ride, then have them watch over it.|||Call there and ask, if you can leave it at certain areas, that they can designate to you. The thing is the liability if it gets lost while your on the ride though...........and the entrance is not always at the exit, but I would call and ask what they could work out with you on that. Id call your Dr and ask how he feels about it............like keeping the area covered and sterile since your going into public water.

but i have a question, are those little round donut shaped things or water floaties allow there or can you rent one from them? if so, is there a fee?|||You can rent them. I'm not sure of the price anymore; used to be a $7 deposit with $4 or $5 of that returned once the item was turned in. I know you can bring your own life jacket, but I don't believe you can bring your own tube.
do all of the rides get u really wet|||well, it is a WATER park. so the general idea would be to get wet. some will soak you more than others, but you can't avoid it. if getting wet is your concern, you need to trot across the highway to six flags. most of their rides wont get you wet.|||the mega wedgie doesn't get you too wet, just your bottom a little bit since you're sitting in a tube. the black hole doesn't get you soaked, but you do get water splashed on you when you finish the ride. the caribbean swing doesn't get you wet at all, but that's because it isn't a water ride. basically, the rides where you are sitting on a tube won't get you soaked since most of them don't end up in a pool. most of the other rides put you into a pool.
you don't need tickets to get into hurricane harbor, i think as long as you get into the park with tickets, they just let you in to the waterpark. at least that's how it is at the six flags in illinois, i'm not sure about the texas one and new jersey or really any of them except the illinois one lol
This is my first time going to Hurricane Harbor at Six Flags but I've been to the park itself a couple of times during spring break when Hurricane Harbor was closed. What should I expect at Hurricane Harbor besides just a bunch of water? Anything really exciting and too good to miss out on? And are there any places to change/places where I can keep my valuables as I don't want to bring my phone in the water....?|||I was there a couple of weeks ago. Buy your tickets online, they are $19.99 a person right now. There are tons of lockers you rent for your valuables. The small ones are $12 and they give you a wrist band that opens it. We got there when it opened and there was hardly anyone in line for the rides.
I was not all that impressed with the rides there. Some of the slides were fun but not all. There are 3 big white ones you can see from the highway (sorry don't know the name). We rode the middle one and I swear my whole body came off the slide for a second or too and that was really scary. Everyone else I talked to said that happened to them too. We also rode the one with the yellow raft that is for 3 people. It was sorta like the bobsled at six flags but with water. It was fun until the end when we stopped and my head slammed into the back of the person in front of me. Also the wave pool knocked me around alot when we got closer to the deep end. I had tons of bruises after that day!!|||I went there, and i thought the best rides were probably :the Black Hole, the Sea Wolf, Shotgun Falls, the Blue Raider, and Der Stuka.
The cool thing is you're allowed to bring your own innertubes so you don't have to rent them. But you'll get your money robbed through general admission ($25), parking ($10), and the food (very high prices i recommend you bring a cooler).

Can you take them off and hold them or are there lockers you have to buy to put them in before each ride. I bought a ticket at AAA for Six Flags NJ, I know that gets me a tix to the park and the safari, but does that get me into Hurricane Harbor or do I need to buy a seperate ticket for that??|||No, sorry...Hurricane Harbor is a separate-gate park, so you have to pay for admission to Hurricane Harbor separately (unless you purchased 3-Park Admission, but I guess you didn't). You'll still have a great time and there's loads to do at Great Adventure (and the Safari) for a day.

I'm going to SSHH next week and i want to carry a bag with my personal belongings like cell phone, cash, and camera. If i leave it at a bench while i go on the rides, will people steal my bag?|||never under estimate this. Do not let your bag out of your sight. I was one of the few people that were invited to ride tatsu before it opened to the public. There were only about 100 people there. I left my sunglass case, with my car key inside. On the side behind a trash can. After riding the ride, it was gone. Somebody had stolen my sunglass case. I wasn't mad about losing a 400 dollar pair of sunglasses. I was mad because I didn't have a key to my car. I had to pay Newhall Locksmith 500 dollars to have them make me a new key based on a mold from my trunk lock.
So please do not leave your personal belonging unattended. Even though Valencia CA is a safe place, the cliental that visits six flags are not that honest. Also due to liability reasons, (because somebody probably got their stuff stolen and tried to blame six flags) you cannot bring a bag with you on the ride. Even if you just put it off to the side. You have to rent out a locker. Which is totally lame.|||People will steal anything, anytime. Get a fanny pack type of thing (not an actual fanny pack because that would be uncool) that you can attach to yourself, that closes. Take that with you on the rides or give your bag to someone in your group who might not be going on the ride with you. People will steal a bag of poop, if they don't know what's in it before they take it.|||Hunii, i dont trust SQUAT! Its sad to say, but we live in a sad world. i used to be so naive...but i got all my credit cards and keys stolen once and didnt even have a way to get home.
My daughter is just like me! She lost everything, even the video she had just made , and who would want her personal video of her and her boyfriend? sad! i hadda go all the way across the city, (an hour) to Kings Island and pay for the parking lot, etc to get her . magic mountain has roller coasters and rides, hurricane harbor is a waterpark|||Six Flags Magic Mountain is the theme park of the two with 16 rollercoasters, 3 of which are world record holders and many flat rides and water rides. It my favorite amusement park. :)
Six Flags Hurricane Harbor is the water park of the two consisting of 23 water slides, a wave pool, lazy river and Tornado toilet bowl.
Both parks are right next to eachother but are NOT connected.
which rides should i stay away from if i cant swim? can i still go if i cant swim?|||You can rent a life jacket if you can't swim. I would stay out of the wave pool if you can't swim. All of the other slides, pools and rivers are 3 to 3 1/2 deep, so you would be able to stand and walk out. But if you can't stand the fact of your head going underwater, avoid the slides that exit into pools.

Also, Im only going for one day with my family and a few friends..so no season pass =(|||Hmm...well honestly I avoid waterparks just because I'm a thrill ride enthusiast (I guess a DRY thrill ride enthusiast lol). I think you'll have more fun at Great Adventure because besides Kingda Ka you can go on El Toro and Nitro - I would ride those 3 coasters all day. Plus you have all of the other coasters and some flat rides. Lately the weather has been pretty cool, so if you are going within a few days, then I think it would honestly be a little too cool for water rides. You can also get wet at Great Adventure - I've been on the Congo Rapids ride, it is pretty fun and you can get really wet on it! They also have a log flume ride at Great Adventure (and there are plenty of mist-makers throughout the park - even the rollercoaster Bizarro has mist) - so you can get wet in the "dry" park (Great Adventure) if you really would like to get wet! I think you should ride Kingda Ka while it's actually running (...haha).
PS. Also, at one of the Dolphin Shows (the one where it shows you how they care for the animals and train them), they ask for volunteers and you can get severely soaked with water! - that's another thing you'll miss at Hurricane Harbor - the animal shows (tiger and dolphins) if you are into that.
Plus Great Adventure has longer park hours.
I realize my answer is a little biased b/c I would much prefer coasters and dry rides to water rides, but if you go to Great Adventure you can go on Kingda Ka, all of the other great coasters/rides, and even some water rides if it's warm enough to get wet (without having to change out of a swimsuit).

These lockers are toward the front of the park so it could be quite bothersome to go back and forth to them. If you are planning on getting on all the rides and you don't have someone to hold your things while you get on having your cell phone would be a big problem. They do not allow any loose articles on the rides with you, so your best bet is to go empty handed. a water proof camera would definitely be a good idea to get if you want to take pictures. When I went to hurricane harbor all i carried around was my towel; which ended up being a nuisance because i had to find a spot to put it while i went on the rides, and then had to go back to retrieve it after the rides.
So from my experience i would leave everything in the locker unless you have someone who is going to stay dry =)|||A locker is the only safe place to stash stuff at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor in New Jersey. You don't need a cell phone at a water park, you just don't, it can easily be stolen from the locker. As for the camera, head to Walmart and buy a disposable water proof camera, then you can keep it around your wrist all day at the water park without it getting lost.|||Not really. I suggest you get a waterproof camera. After all it is a water park. I recently bought a season pass from new england.Then i went to NJ great harbor, and i was wondering can i go to hurricane harbor? wht about wild safari? and if i cant how much do i have to pay? a full price or is there some kind of discount for having the season pass in the first place?|||your pass will do the safari but not hurricane harbor. that is a separately ticketed thing. i do believe however you get a discount for being a passholder. go to the six flags website and they can tell you all of what the season passes include. click on the parks you want to visit and it should tell you what kind of prices you will pay if not included in your pass.|||i'm pretty sure the passes work at any six flags in the U.S. I'm not sure if they include hurricane harbor or the wild safari, though.
Not really. If you park in any of the strip centers nearby your car will be towed. I know from experience. There is always a place to park at the two parks though, it just might be really far away.
You are correct that there are "Park and Ride" locations, but that's dumb. You have to catch a bus there, catch a bus back. I's much rather drive my own car.|||Yes there is alternate parking, it's called the impound facility. It costs over $100 to park there.
I want to go to Hurricane harbor on memorial day whcih is monday which you all know. I dont have school that day so i wanted to go but will it b busy since the next day is tuesday it shouldnt right cuz everybody will have to go to school/work. They'll probably go on Sunday. Also since its only may and summer hasnt even started?|||The entire weekend will be busy because it's the first weekend it is open, plus it's a long holiday weekend for most people. The busiest day will be Saturday, the least busy will be Monday (depending on the weather, of course). Sometimes a rainy day is actually a good time to go as long as there is not lightning; it tends to keep the crowd down. All of the water in the pools, slides and so on is heated, so it does not make much difference that it's early in the season (plus we have had beautiful weather all week - can hardly believe it's been 80's out again - I love it! ) Have fun at the park :D|||It will more than likely be busy if it's nice out. I was just at Great America on Thursday, which people should have been in school then (I've graduated from college already) and it was slightly busy. So I'm assuming that it being a day off it will be busy, plus that's the first weekend that it will be open.

Last year we went to the water park ... Had a swell time. Most of the rides or tunnels etc. end up in rather shallow water. Also, you can wear a life jacket that can keep you afloat. Thus you will be fine.
Wave pool and river, especially one at Schlitterbahn is fantastic. You will be perfectly fine in any wave pool. Really, really safe and enjoyable. Keep yourself on the tube ... put yourself in the center of the tube and hang on as I did and you will be fine ...
You will know what to avoid ... besides when in doubt don;t depend on anyone else's advice. Speak to the attendant at the park and they will recommend the best course .. avoid or not.

I am going tomorrow and I haven't been in about 12 years and I was really young. I remember wearing water shoes but I had to take them off because I couldn't swim with them on. I don't actually remember if the ground was hot or if it was someone asking me if it was hot... so if anyone has any advice on if I should go barefoot or get some type of water shoes, that would be great! If you're going to go to Great America on a hot day, you might as well wear your bathing suit under your clothes, since Huricane Harbor is free with admission to Great America. It's alright, has lots of slides and has that new ride... but I havn't been there since last summer. You could easily spend about half a day to a whole day depending on what you like. If you plan on going just for the water park though, make sure to get to the park early, since they sometimes cut off entrace due to capacity limit; especially on hot days.|||It is worth going, but be prepared to stand in line VERY Early if you want to get in. My kids and I loved it.|||my sister went and she thought it was awesome.|||personally I go to Great America for the roller coasters, and I like that Hurricane Harbor lures away some of those who would otherwise make the line long.

I have never been to SFHH, but i know that there are lockers at the front like SFMM. I would like to bring with me a water-proof bag to put my cell phone, camera, and wallet with me. When i go on the rides do i have to carry my bag with me on the ride or is there a place where i put it and after the ride i can grab it and go? like a machine that carries my stuff down as i go down?|||best thing to do is have a friend be the DH. The designated holder holds all the items while at the water park.This person usually isnt a fan of water slides and the park but loves to just catch up on their tan. If you dont have a DH you can always leave the money and phone in the car until you need it.

The Black Hole
Please tell me you experience in the ride, geronimo and what is it?|||i live within 20 minutes of 6 flags and havent gone in years|||The Black Hole is Hurricane Harbor's signature ride, so there is always a long line. But, it is a very fun, not too fast, but very dark, ride. I think Geronimo is the slide with the straight down drop. There are three individual slides on the same tower, and they are AWESOME. Its THE BEST ride there. If you wanna pay more, you can do the skycoaster. Its not a water ride. You get strapped into a full body harness (its not uncomfortable), and you get pulled up really high and then released. You swing back and forth like a pendulum. That was freaky but amazing and so totally worth it. The wave pool is fun and is the lazy river. There is also a ride that has two slides and you lay on a mat and race your friend down. Its fun and theres never a big line. All of the rides with inner tubes are usually really fun. Hurricane Harbor is awesome. Have fun.|||I really enjoyed The Black Hole, because I love dark rides. I've seen people wear normal clothes, no swim suit, and they can ride. I wear shorts over my suit and have never had a problem with it. They don't care as long as you don't have metal things that can ruin the slides.
I got the ticket from school and I wanted to go to the water park when i go and i wanted to know if i have to pay additionally to get into Hurricane Harbor|||It depends which Six Flags you are going to. If you are going to one of them where Hurricane Harbor is included in the park admission price, then you will be able to go to Hurricane Harbor also. If you are going to a Six Flags theme park where the Hurricane Harbor water park is a separately ticketed park, then you will not be able to get into the waterpark with your free ticket.

Female: Wear your bikini with shorts and a camisole over top. Bring a backpack or large purse that you can cram your clothes into when you don't want to wear them. That way you can cover up when you are done swimming.
Male: Swim trunks and a t-shirt.|||Just wear a bathing suit, if you`re not comfortable with that wear a bathing suit under a pair of shorts and tank top. Most people, young and old, walk around in just a bathing suit.|||How old are you? A bathing suit is proper for everyone at the water park. Make sure you wear water shoes, the cement you have to walk on when waiting in lines gets very hot!|||Id wear a bathingsuit, but afterwards put on cute jean shorts, or a nice bathingsuit coverup :)|||just wear your bathing suit, if you dont want to, wear a tank top and some shorts over the bathing suit|||Male: Swimming Shorts

Although the city has some 300,000 people it really doesn't need one because there is no real city "center" or downtown area to which large numbers of office workers would commute.|||As stated - nothing. You can take Greyhound to Arlington, probably from the ITC in downtown Ft.Worth or definitely from the Dallas Greyhound station and take a cab. Or you can go to one of the water parks in the Garland area that is accessible by DART Rail and Bus

The hurricane claims to save her from life's misery yet the harbor (think of the harbor as life, love, happiness, the positive future, etc.) claims to save her from the hurricane's tragic waves. If she is walking between the hurricane (death) and the harbor (life) perhaps she is on edge and has hope for the future (the harbor) but the negative things in life (The hurricane) tumble upon her. Its pretty standard across all of the Six Flags parks. In my harbor the shallowest water is 2 feet and the deepest in the wave pool is 5 ft 8 inches

I went to Hurricane Harbor twice already this year and both times someone has stolen anything left on my chair. The first time it was my tube and I saw him do it from a distance. When I told the life guards about it, they tried to get him out of the water, but he didn't go and lied and said his cousin rented it for him. A worker took me to get another one, but never reprimanded or kicked out the thief. The second time, towels, shoes, and personal floatation devices were all taken. When I reported it, all they could say was that there was nothing they could do. They said that everything should be locked up at all times. The lockers are expensive, so that is what they want you to do. IT'S ALL ABOUT MONEY FOLKS and even if the theifs are pointed out, they will do nothing!!!

This water-park is big and full of very exciting water-slides and pools, but in my opinion there is not a very good organization about tubes, life-vests and towels.
You have to bring your own towel because there is no one available, in other water-parks I have been before in which there are plenty of towel.
There are tubes for the rides, but if you want to take a rest in a round river, you have to rent your own tube, and after you have paid for it, you can not lose it o leave it in a storage place. you can return it but if you want to use it again, you need to re-rent it.
I went to the park by myself, and most of the rides were for 2 o 4 people; and you have to look for partners otherwise they don麓t let you go down. There is no one who help you to find a partner, so if you are kind of shine, you are lost.

Is it true this is their last year opening due to the economy reasons?|||According to screamscape.com, the water park in the Kentucky location will expand after they move their best coaster there, Chang, to the Chicago location in 2011. That may mean that they will clear part of the water park to fit in Chang, but I haven't heard anything about them closing it outright.

After going on the road to enter six flags there will be a parking lot for hurricane harbor, the safari thing, and the parking lot for great adventure is further on the road than those things. which one has more rides for older people?|||I am assuming that you mean the Six Flags Hurricane Harbor in New Jersey, since that's the closest one in the area to Splish Splash (which is in New York). If this is not the park that you are referring to, please feel free to e-mail me directly.
Six Flags Hurricane Harbor is one of the "smaller" water parks in terms of the number of attractions it has. Yes, it has some water slides, what good water park doesn't, but there is not really that much to do there.
It's attractions include:
Bada Bing, Bada Bang, Bada Boom! which consists of three slides that go down five stories at approximately 20 miles per hour. It's definately one of the faster slides at the park. With three different slides, each ride is slightly different, meaning that essentially you can have three different rides out of this single attraction, so you may want to ride it more than once.
Blue Lagoon is Six Flag's Hurricane Harbor's wave pool. It's like a giant swimming pool where waves of 2-5 feet in height come across on a timer. It's a great way to relax in an inner tube and cool off on a hot day.
Boreas, Eurus, Zephyrus, and Nortus is another series of four slides put into a single attraction. Again, if you ride all four, you can essentially experience four different attractions as the drops, twists, and turns are very different on each slide. It's got some good drops on it, which makes it one of the medium slides at the park.
Cannonball, Wahini, and Jurahnimo Falls are the three most intense slides in the park. Again, each slide is slightly different so you have to ride all three to experience the "full rider experience" of riding these slides. These are the most extreme slides in the park, they are body slides with straight down drops. If you are brave enough to go on them, a word of advice: don't wear a bikini, bikini tops flip up really easily on these slides.
Discovery Bay is the children's play ground at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, all though adults can play along as well. It's a "get wet" playground that you might compare to a giant treehouse/climbing play area filled with water. Sort of a combination of rope climbing nets and a McDonalds play place only larger and with lots of water.
Hurricane Mountain is a slide that gives you two different experiences. On one experience you ride by yourself on an inner tube, on the other you ride double with another person on a two person tobaggan. The ride experience is very different on a two person tobaggan then a one person ride, so if you have a chance to ride it both solo and double, you should do it!
Taak It Eez Ee Creek is the "lazy river" at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor. You float around in an inner tube (you must remain in the inner tube) in a moving "river" that circles the park. A great chance to kick back on top of a tube and get a tan.
Reef Runner and the Big Bambu are the two family slides that you ride with other people. They are fun slides for the entire family, and each slide is different, so you have to ride both slides to experience the full experience of these slides.
I wouldn't recommend the body slides that drop straight down for older people, as they are pretty intense.
Splish Splash on the other hand, has more to do then Six Flags Hurricane Harbor. There are lots of slides for "thrill seekers" like Dr Von Dark's Tunnel Of Terror, Alien Invasion, Abyss, Barrier Reef, Cliff Diver, Dragon's Den, Giant Twister, Hollywood Stunt Ride, Mammoth River, Max Trax, Shotgun Falls, Splash Landing,
In addition they also have a lazy river, a Soak City bubbling geyser area, a wave pool called Surf City, an enjoyable bird show (a great chance to take a break from the water attractions), and a bunch of kids attractions including playgrounds and slides.
In terms of attractions that you can all ride together, Splish Splash has lots of "cool paced" family slides where multiple people ride together. You guys would definately have a better time at Splish Splash then Six Flags Hurricane Harbor.

The reason being is because wet shirts are see through, and people will see a lot on a girl with no top suit on.
If you are a guy, they will let you with just a t-shirt on though. If you are a girl and have a bathing suit top, and a t-shirt on, that's okay though.
For the slides, usually they make you take off your t-shirt if the slide is not a raft. For raft slides and lazy river, you can leave your t-shirt on.
So, if you don't have a top, and you are a girl, buy one today aleady somewhere!|||If you need to get away with wearing a t-shirt, make sure that it is white in color (they won't allow colors because of the colors fading in the pools).
They will let you keep your shirt on in all of the pools, wave pools, lazy rivers, etc and all slides that allow you to use an inner tube. On what are called body slides (slides where you don't use inner tubes) you cannot wear shirts. So you may want to avoid those slides if you don't want to take your shirt off.|||Yes you can, but I would be careful what color I choose. Let's say you wear a white shirt. Then if you got wet enough, everything you were wearing under it (bra, etc) would glow like a star. And there would be no drying off unless you brought a really fast-drying towel. Thanks.|||You really don't need to know how to swim. Trust me I've been there at least 4 times. On the "lazy river" you hold onto a tube the whole time. There is also this part of the park where you stand on the ground and a big bucket dumps on your head. There are also a bunch of water slides where MOST of them have tubes. The ones that don't are the body slides. You'll be fine. It is definitely worth going.|||I don't know much about that waterpark, but I know about another Six Flags waterpark, and the only thing that has high water is the wavepool. Technically, you don't have to swim to be in it, but just don't go up to the very high waters. Everything else, it doesn't matter at all.
All the waters are very shallow, but if you are a little kid, than you might have problems because the water might be above your head. It's not that high for an adult, but I don't know about young people.|||I go every year and I can not swin. They have a mixture of rides for everyone. You can still have a lot of fun if you can not swin. Most of the rides are about 5'0 deep. SixFlags = Mainly roller coasters and some water rides but your in a log, or in a boat the whole time, you just get soaking wet.
Hurricane Harbor just has some slides, you go down into a pull which isnt' even deep.

they are together|||It's hard to give an answer on which theme park is better, because it depends on what you like and do not like when it comes to rides.
For me for instance, I don't like roller coasters that go upside down, those where your feet dangle, or ones that shoot straight up and down. I also do not like drop rides or rides that have a lot of swaying. Because of this, when it comes to Six Flags Amusement Park in Texas, there are only a few rides that I would ride. For me, the best park for me is Hurricane Harbor, because Six Flags is definitely all about the thrills and roller coasters.
If you like roller coasters, drop rides, and other thrill rides, then Six Flags Amusement Park is the better choice for you. It really depends on what you enjoy!

i know they're non- transferable, but do they check these things? and what is the penalty if they find out?|||If you look like the person in the picture then you'll have no problems but if you don't you probably won't get through. Some friends switched passes to be funny last month and the person noticed.|||If you look like the other person its usually easy to use. But, if you get caught, best case scenario, you have to pay. Worst case scenario, they take away the season pass and ban you and the season pass holder from the park.

I have a bathing suit and I want to wear some cotton drawstring shorts over it, but I'm not sure what exactly they allow you to wear on the water rides. Their site doesn't really give any examples of what can be worn. Most people like to wear their bathing suit and something over it....

And on some of the slides they don't allow shirts. They recommend that your wear swim attire so that it doesn't damage the slides or tubes.

to keep it from getting wet imagine your bringing like $50 and and iphone is it safe or will the workers steal it or sumthing|||Hey so far this summer I went to Six Flags theme park, Dorney Park, And Mountain Creek Waterpark, I used a locker each time and they seem totally safe and secure. Mountain Creek and Dorney Park gave you a key to hang on to and hold a deposit like $4 - $5. Six Flags actually had a computerized locker whee you just had to remember a pin # to unlock it. They also give it to you printed. So I highly recommend the lockers it's so much safer than carrying the items and getting them wet. my brother has been there and he said that they give you the tube/floaties when you get to the ride, but then i heard that you had to rent them so im confused.|||Every ride that requires an inner tube at Hurricane Harbor offers free inner tubes. On crowded days, you may have to wait a few minutes until someone gets off of a slide in order to get an inner tube. The same goes for the wave pool, you have to wait until someone isn't using a tube in order to get a tube. On less crowded days, there are stacks and stacks of empty tubes that you can grab from both near the wave pool and near the slides. If you don't want to wait for an inner tube, you can visit the tube rental place and rent an inner tube. You are given a special bracelet that lets you use rented inner tubes all day long, and if someone takes your tube, you can get a free replacement. When you return your tube at the end of the day, you get a partial refund (the deposit) back.|||When your going on a ride that requires the tubes

At least not in the pool. You must have 'appropriate' swimwear in hurricane harbor which would be a swimsuit.
You can find swimsuits that can cover you like tshirts and shorts, like a tankini.|||No. I mean, if you don't plan on going swimming, then it would be ok. But, cotton in the pool filters is a big no-no. They probably won't even let you in with a t-shirt and shorts. They require "proper swimwear." They usually recommend ladies in a one-piece and gentlemen in speedos or jammers.
I have a way i can secure a job there. I just want to know if its fun so i will or wont work there|||I think it would be!!

I'm a girl and I don't really like showing my skin and all. One of my friend said that we have to only wear a swimming suit when we wanna get on the ride. (but she's not sure) So I'm asking on here. I dont know if its worth it for just a waterpark, but water parks are loads of fun, and i'm sure hurricane harbor is one of the cleanest! I'm pretty sure there's lockers|||welll, the one i went to, six flags great america in illinois yes, they did have lockers, it was right in the amusement park, they would probably have some in hurricane harbor also..but im not sure, i know for sure theres some in the acutual amuesment park and they're 9.00 and they're electronic and you have like a code and stuff, they're actually very nice, and it lasts for 24 hours.

According to the website the Extreme Season Pass does not get you entry to Hurricane Harbor (it's basically the same thing as a regular/"thrill" Season Pass, but with free parking and more discounts) - a Combo Pass will get you admissions to Hurricane Harbor, but considering the price is significantly lower then an Extreme Pass, you will not get the free parking/extra discounts. I don't see how they would have the Combo pass have add all of the discounts of an Extreme Pass PLUS give you admission to the waterpark, yet have a lower price on that pass...so you probably would have assumed that if you looked at the website - check out the link I gave you, it will answer all of your questions.
You do get a free ticket to Hurricane Harbor w/ a Thrill Pass/Extreme Pass, but I assume you want to go there all season long for unlimited admissions...

I'm going to Hurricane Harbor in a few days, I know you wear swim suits and flip flops... stuff like that, I got it. However, I heard your swim suit can't have any metal on them... I checked my boardshorts and there are 4 little metal rings where the drawstring is in the front.
Is is ok to have this? They are Hurley One&Only|||There can't be any metal because they scratch up the slides. It really depends on the people running the slides. Sometimes they will let you go if it's in the front and they wont touch the slides, but other times they say if there is any metal at all you can't. Well i dont know about other people but i have a swimsuit with metal on it too but when u pass the metal detector it will probably beep but when u explain that its just a little metal on your swimsuits they will 99% out of 100 will say its ok.

There will be lots of men without shirts, but bring a t-shirt or a light button up shirt if you are uncomfortable.

We are going to Hurricane Harbor Valencia tommorow and my mom won't be getting wet. So is there any places to sit like at the wave pool or something and what are some good but not extreme rides I should definitely go on.|||I don't do the slides there, but I had free tickets last year and had to go to check it out. There is plenty of 'beach' chairs at the wave pool and there are tables in the eating areas. Try to get there early so you can snag a chair for your mom to be comfortable in all day. As for the slides, try the big blue and yellow one that you spin around in, and the big family tube ride (sits 4-5 people in the raft) is alot funner than it looks!

Ok I am a 13 year old girl and I will be going to Hurricane Harbor on friday with a couple of my friends, I am planning on bringing a little backpack including: phone, money, towel, brush, detangling spray, hair ties, bobby pins, I think that's it, where would I keep the bag? would my friends get annoyed of me if i got a locker and kept having to go back to get something from it? how much money should I bring not including admission fees?|||You need sunscreen. Also, a spare swimsuit helps (I was once told that and didn't think I'd need an extra, but went I went I had a "wardrobe malfunction" and very much regretted blowing off the advice.)
Yes, put the bag in a locker. It will get stolen otherwise. Remember, you're swimming, you really will not need a brush with your hair wet since it will just get messy a minute later.
Money you should bring, about $50 without admission(s). But with admission, I once brought $70 total to cover everything and we barely got in, so to be safe I'd bring $120 total.
:)|||You need to bring sunscreen and reapply it every hour. Bring at least $80. This should cover admission, food & drinks and a locker. Yes, I highly recommend the locker. You don't want your stuff to get stolen. Thieves target unsuspecting guests (you, a teenager) and steal their stuff. Who cares if you friends get annoyed, they will be more annoyed if you bag gets stolen and you spend the rest of the day looking for it. Get a locker, it will save the worry.
Make sure your suit doesn't have any metal or you will not be allowed on body slides. Also, skip the raft rental. If the slide requires rafts, they are provided, otherwise your raft will be stolen if left unattended.

Yoga capris or bermudas would probably get you kicked out of the water.
I would suggest board shorts or a skirt style cover up. They are made of the same material as a swim suit and those are allowed.

Me and my friends are going to the water park as a group and we have more than 15 people so admission would actually be $25.50 each for all of us . So we have the admission straight .
But the problem is that we need to know how to get there or where we can rent a van to go there . We are trying to find the simplest and cheapest way to get there . Because we range from ages 14 to 19 so we need to save as much money as we can .|||There is a bus from the Port Authority Bus Terminal on 42nd Street/8th Avenue that goes to Six Flags. It is the #308 bus. However, it is expensive-$35 per person. It leaves at 9:30 AM.
However, if you want to save money, you can go to Newark Penn Station (take the PATH train from 33rd Street to Grove Street and then transfer to a train to Newark across the platform). The fare is $1.75 for the PATH and $25.50 for the #308 bus, for a total of $27.25 per person.
There are discount fares available for children 5-11 and seniors.
Unfortunately, it will be expensive, no matter which way you slice it. You may be better off trying to charter a bus, though I don'know what prices they charge.

Now i've havnt been to the six flags in NJ but I have in Texas.. If your kids go for a full day Your probably thinking about 2 meals plus snacks and lockers. Now unless they want to go to a gift shop and buy tons of toys and things like that. each meal will probably cost about 10 dollars each and then a few bucks for the lockers and a little extra for snacks. so you should probably send them with 40 dollars each. 50 if u wanna be really safe to make sure they dont run out.

Locker rentals range from $8 to $12 dollars. I would encourage them to take advantage of the playmoney program that they have there. This is a great service that they offer at the park where they put your money on a wristband. They scan the band at any food stand or merchandise location (I'm not sure if they can pay for lockers with it.) But this is a great way for the kids to enjoy the park and they won't have to worry about running back and forth to a locker or worry about losing there money. At the end of the day they can cash out their wristband at the Guest Relations Office and get back what ever they did not spend! It's a really great service :) I hope the kids have a great trip to the park!

So, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are the least crowded days of the week (unless they fall on holidays).

I'm not the best swimmer so I'm wondering how deep the water usually is.|||Depends on which location. The one by where I live (not sharing that information) is like a beach (the wave pool) it goes from 0 feet to about 12 feet but nobody is allowed that far I don't think|||The water in the pools and the water slide run out pools is usually 3 to 3 1/2 feet deep. The wave pool at the HH next to magic mountain goes to 8 feet deep. But that is the end right up against the back of the pool. You can't get that far. The furthest you can get out is like 6 or 7 feet deep.
I never heard of a water park with a pool 12 feet deep. That is not needed unless people are diving in the pool or dropping from a height equivalent to a 3 meter diving board.
They have lifejackets for weaker swimmers. The wave pools always start out at 0 feet and gradually get deeper. Just stay in the shallow.

Like new pavement, better scenery, wider paths, less dead ends, and more benches. I don't like Hurricane Harbor anyway. It is really dirty. They only have a few water rides. It's pretty boring. But Six Flags St. Louis has improved a lot in just 2 years. They've added Bugs Bunny National Park for the kids in 2006, along with the intense 230 foot high freefall tower Superman Tower of Power. And in 2007 they added the family roller coaster Tony Hawk's Big Spin. In 2008 they added the amazingly smooth and fast Evel Knievel. They've also cleaned up the park a lot. Much nicer than before 2006. About the expansion: I think that Hurricane Harbor should go, and the park should expand. They could add a lot more rides. Hurricane Harbor is just not needed. I think that they should try to compete with Cedar Point, even though Six Flags Magic Mountain is Cedar Point's main competitor. They could even build the world's tallest and fastest roller coaster. My thoughts on Evel Knievel: Great ride! It is pretty small, it is only 85 feet tall and reaches 50 mph, and it is very compact. But that makes 50 mph seem like 200 mph when you are flying through those flyover curves and over those small bunny hills. Plus, it is the SMOOTHEST roller coaster at Six Flags, yes the smoothest even if it is made of wood! It has like 6 inches of padding. You don't even feel a bump. The front seat is the best on Evel Knievel, but the back seat is the best on the other roller coasters at Six Flags St. Louis. And if you haven't ridden Superman Tower of Power yet, you need to ride it-it has an amazing view and an intense freefall.|||no one because St Louis sucks.|||evel knievel is a kiddy ride compared to the boss. cedar point makes 6 flags looks like a kiddy park. I'm someone who is terrified of roller coasters, but I tolerate water parks because most slides are just fast with no drops. I know Tornado has a drop, but if you were in my shoes what would you rate the scariness of this ride?|||The drop is not fast at all. Pretty much you drop for about 4 seconds and then you go back and forth until you get to the hole at the end. It's and extremely easy and fun ride.

However, they are all what are considered separate "gates" so you need a separate admission to them. You can purchase a ticket to either the Six Flags Theme Park or Hurricane Harbor, or you can purchase a combo ticket that includes both. The combo ticket will be cheaper then if you had to purchase each individual park on it's own.

Im embarrassed to wear any thing showing my shoulders (only down to wear a t shirt covers you) and back because of my acne there do the allow you to wear that and get on all the rides in Hurricane Harbor? it's my first time going so i don't know but I do know the rules are no street clothes because of safety precautions bu do they allow you to get into rides dressed like that?|||Just make sure your shirt is somewhat tight. They have to let you on, some people are body concious so yeah..

You also will not be allowed to wear a shirt at Hurricane Harbor unless it's a surf shirt made out of swimsuit material.
The dress code for Hurricane Harbor is very very specific. Girls can wear one piece bathing suits or bikini's (which I don't recommend because they can fly up on the body slides) and guys can wear swim shorts that are above the knees only. No one can wear pants, denim, or cut offs of any kind. Shirts may not be worn on any of the slides, all though they will allow you to wear a shirt in pools and lazy rivers at some locations. Additionally, your swimwear must be free of zippers, buttons, snaps, and all other types of plastic and metal ornamentation.|||Wear a wetsuit if you dont want to take your shirt off.|||undergarments
Every time we go to Hurricane Harbor and we're in the big "wave pool". About every two to three hours (maybe more/less) they make everyone get out the pool and wait for a whole 15 minutes before they let anyone get back in. They actually stand guard in the water just to make sure no one even puts in a pinky toe.

I plan on visiting hurricane harbor this summer with friends and would like to know exactly how deep is the water from the large water slides and even the smaller ones?
I have been on water slides before with local water parks but the depth of the water i landed in was only 4 feet high.
So, I just want to know how deep is the water at six flags and is it safe for a non swimmer like me?|||Depends. The higher the slide, the deeper the water for safety of impact. Every water park will have lifeguards at the bottom of the slide to aid you in need of emergency, or even if you're slightly disoriented and just need help getting on your feet. As a lifeguard myself, I get extremely pissed when people who can't swim go into deep water where they can't stand and I have to save a grown person because they're stupid. My advice, have fun, go on some slide, but for God's sake stay out of the wave pools or lazy rivers. This may be far fetched, but you know, you could just learn how to swim, It's not rocket science.|||It is extremely safe!
You can request to wear a life jacket if you want to go on the more deep water sections. It is safe for a non swimmer like you, and at all times there will be a life guard at each pool section to make sure for your safety,
The deepest is probably 6 - 8 feet, but of course, there will always, always, ALWAYS be a life guard right on the edge of the pool.
Most large water slides are body slides, which means you aren't really suppose to use a tube, but you may be able to use a life jacket to help keep you on the surface of the water.
Also, try to learn how to swim the same summer you go. There are a lot of you tube videos on how to swim. It's okay if you don't, but try to have just a bit of an idea on how to swim, it doesn't matter if you don't totally know how.

They do have life vests If you would want to use those, If you go on there website they should tell you how tall the pool is! Have fun!!|||Most of the pools at the end of the waterslides are around 3 to 3 1/2 feet deep. The wave pools usually go up to 6 or 8 feet, but you can't get to the deep end wall of the wave pool because it is usually roped off.

My boyfriend and i are interested in taking a bus leaving from NYC port authority terminal heading to six flags hurricane harbor but we are not sure which bus we should take to go out that way. We know there is a bus that will take us to great adventure but were wondering if this same bus would take us to six flags hurricane harbor. please help us out by telling us what bus would go there and how much would it cost for a round trip bus ticket plus park admissions. Thanks.|||The bus that takes passengers to "Six Flags Great Adventure" is the bus you would take to go to Wild Safari and/or Hurricane Harbor - the Wild Safari and Hurricane Harbor parks are all within the same area, right across from Six Flags Great Adventure.
Also, keep in mind that the hours for the bus from NYC usually reflect Six Flags Great Adventure's operating hours, yet Hurricane Harbor usually closes before the theme park does, so you might have to wait around for the bus, so check the time.
Since I do not go to waterparks and hadn't taken the bus from NYC, I cannot say if the driver will drop you off right at Hurricane Harbor, or if they just drop you all off at one area and you just walk to either Hurricane Harbor or Great Adventure. Your best bet is to call and see what they say (if you have to walk to Hurricane Harbor or if they drop you off there). I assume they can drop you off there since it's right there, but I'm not 100% sure.
Anyway, yes, you take the same bus that goes to Great Adventure in order to go to Hurricane Harbor - although they are separate parks, they are in the same area.

I want to apply for a summer job at Hurricane Harbor in Valencia, CA. Does anyone know what the physical requirements are for being a lifeguard, like what tests you'll have to perform.|||Well, quite a few water parks go under Ellis & Associates, which is a lifeguard licensing company. They require shallow guards to swim 50 yds, dive for a 10 lb brick, and pass rescue, CPR, and written tests. Deep guards have to swim 100 or 200 yds (can't remember which), dive in the deep end for a 10lb brick, tread water without the use of arms for two minutes, and then pass the same types of tests as shallow guards. I would assume that this is the standard type of testing and requirements for most lifeguard licensing companies, like Red Cross and the like, so hopefully this gives you a basic idea of what to expect. No matter what, you're going to have to go and train & get your license to work, but they will most likely offer a class or tell you where to go to get your certification.

They are across the freeway from one another. You can get a season pass for both parks if you like, or you can buy daily admission tickets. There is no combo ticket that I know of. A ticket will get you on most rides. Some rides require extra charge.
I went to Hurricane Harbor for the first time a couple weeks ago for my birthday. Now, alone, the Wave Pool seems like any other pool with an inclined grade to emulate sand and rocks on a beach, with I've seen at public pools. I broke my foot yesterday at hurricane harbor. I tripped over a fence. I went to the first aid station and they said it was probably just hurt and to stay off of it. So I did but it just kept gettng worse. So I went back and they put a piece of medical tape on it. But when I got home it kept swelling and turining blue. So i went and it is broke. Will six flaggs pay for my medical expenses?|||If the fence was secure and not in a place it should not have been then most likely no. It would just be classified as your negligence. If the fence was out of place or loose and caused the accident then they may have to but they will have very good attorney's to keep from doing so. Therefore if you feel they are in the wrong truly then you can call the headquarters and see what they say. If they still say now and you believe you are in the right then get an attorney who will not take your money unless you win the case and then you can go for it.|||How does one trip over a fence? how deep is the water is in each of the water rides in Six Flags Hurricane Harbor in Chicago? My family and I are going there this July and my little sister and I cant swim.. :/|||On most of the slides, the water is 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 feet deep. The wave pool is deeper, but it is separated in sections that are clearly labeled with the depth (ours goes to 6 feet but it depends on the park). The Lazy River is also at the shallow mark.
If you can't swim, you HAVE to wear a lifevest on all of the slides, in the wave pool, and in the lazy river. It doesn't matter if you can stand up in the water or not, the lifevests are mandatory if you can't swim. The lifevests are free of charge for non swimmers and they have adult, teen, and children's sizes.|||Most pools are about 3 to 4 1/2 feet deep. The wave pools start out at zero depth entries and go up 7,8 or 10 feet deep ( but you usually can not reach the deepest end of the wave pool because it is roped off. The depths are clearly marked (OSHA (or whatever) requires it). The lifeguards will tell you if you ask. Also, they have life jackets (usually free) for non swimmers to use. Life jackets are on a first come first serve basis. Some places require all children under 48" ( or a specified height) to use life jackets, regardless of swimming abilities.|||Water slides are designed with the run-off 'horizontal', so the pools don't need to be deep. 4+1/2 feet deep is about how deep the water is. Except for the wave pool which is wider and deeper.

Anyone know what they are?|||Typically the pineapple drinks are juice blends (pineapple, mango, coconut more or less) with rum and or another type of liquor occasionally. They vary so much, but usually the predominant flavor is mostly that of pineapple.
However, if you are talking about some served at a park, its probably a virgin Pina Colada in a pineapple.
I was planning on going to Six Flags' Hurricane Harbor in Arlington, Texas but I wasn't sure if they let us bring our own coolers with food and drinks. A few places let us bring our own stuff, but I wasn't sure about Hurricane Harbor. Anyone Know??|||You can only take food or beverages with you in a SMALL lunch bag style cooler IF you have a medical disorder that requires it and have proof of such. I have taken small lunch bag coolers into SF over GA before because I'm an insulin dependent diabetic and I must have some type of snack or emergency treatment with me. I always carry a medic alert and my insulin pump makes my diabetes pretty obvious.
Other than that, no. You would have to leave the cooler in the car and use the picnic facilities that are usually out in the parking lot. Since bags are inspected, you would not be able to get the cooler inside the park.
EMT|||No you can't take your own food or beverages into Six Flags Hurricane Harbor in Arlington. They do allow you to eat outside food and beverages at the picnic areas outside however.

Exceptions are made for Guests with special dietary needs to include food allergies and baby food/formula. The special dietary food containers will be marked and dated to clearly show that they have been approved for entry into the park."
