hot i guess you would say. We were at a water park and well she was wearing a bikini. Up until that point I never thought of her in that way. It was always a relationship based on getting to know her better and what a great person she was. However, I cant deny that I got some pleasure seeing her in a bathing suit. I get my friend to tell her this and shes happy about it?): Shes happy that I think she looks good. Is this good bad or just normal?|||Definitely good! Why would you think bad? D= Girls like to know if guys think they look good especially if it's their boyfriend or the guy they like! It makes them really happy. Next time you see her you tell her she's hot, pretty, or whatever strikes your fancy! No more relaying messages to your friend. Now go!!
XP
I am serious though...|||of course she likes hearing that you think she looks good! my god, she's probably been worrying about it because you never say anything. you shouldn't feel awkward telling your significant other they look good. it makes 'em feel good.|||well for one, if you guys are really good friends you should tell her what u told us yourself and try to go out with her sometime. or ask her friend if she is into you, and than act from there :D glad i could help =D|||She's happy cause now she knows that you don't just like her for her personality, you also like her looks, which makes a girl go crazy exciteddd.(:|||its good that you know your women is sexy but not good telling your friends to tell her what you should have said some friends could be back stabbers not saying yours are just dont tell another guy to tell your women how you feel|||um hello? she's your girlfriend! of course she likes that you think she looks good! its a good thing dummy! goodness gracious!|||That is normal.|||ask her out. nuff said.
well this summer I thought it would be SO cool if me and my friend went to work at the same place. Since were on the high school swim team I thought "lifeguards" so we applied online (he applied a week earlier) and he just got an E-mail saying he got the job, but he didn't go in for an interview. so should I??
P.S I don't have a lifeguards license but he said I could get one easy in about a week or so.|||For sure I don't know what job doesn't need an interview, so go.|||Absolutely!
They probably want to see more since they are probably getting a lot of other people wanted this job
so go with a big smile and make the best out of this opportunity|||You want the job dont you ? Go tot he interview|||YEA|||Go with someone just in case.Or go with him (ur friend)
most of the girls were in tiny bikinis and they all had werid bodies! some were fat, some were not proportional and its werid cuz most of them did i couldnt find like one girl with a nice body same goes for the guys ?|||just becuase they don't have what your definition of a good body is in a bikini, doesn't mean they shouldn't wear one. its not your problem. at least girls there who didn't have "nice bodies" were mature and confident enough to wear it, despite what people like YOU may think of them. our bodies are different from one another. just respect it.|||i dont get it what is your question?
its america and everyone is getting fat hahaha hmm tell them to keep a steady diet and dont be so lazy and to get off their butt and work out for once
maybe it was a dream? hahaha
So, I'm going there this weekend for the first time in about 4 years? Anyways, I want to bring a (water proof) camera there, and bring it up to the rides, but I don't know if they'll let me, so anyone know the answer to that one?
Oh and, food and drinks. What type of food and drinks are we allowed to bring in there? At the website, there's no information :(
I prefer if you answer it from personal experience or you know for sure. I don't really like, "I think.." or "most likely..." or "maybe..." Straight answers are better.
Thanks :)|||I know for sure they won't let you take the camera on any of the slides for safety reasons, but I have used one in the wave pool, lazy river, and general play areas. You are not really allowed to bring any outside food into the park at all, but we always bring a backpack with towels and extra clothes and just stuff a water bottle, a sandwich and some snacks (nuts, fruit snacks, candy, pretzels, fruit, etc.) in there too. No one has ever given us a hard time at security when they check the bags, just be sure nothing is in a glass container. Have a great time :D
I was just at Six Flags St. Louis yesterday with my sister (it was amazing by the way) we just did roller coasters though. Next week we're going back to do the water rides, and my little cousin is coming with us. She's concerned about the water depth, because she's not a very good swimmer. I tried to assure her that there was nothing to worry about, but she's still a little worried so I want to make sure she's fine with going. She's 11 but she's tall for her age, almost as tall as me and I'm 5'8. Are there any water rides that are deeper and that she should stay away from? Thanks for the help!|||You've got nothing to worry about. However, if she's not a good swimmer, and the lifeguards see this (there are lifeguards at the bottom of each slide to help people out of the water) they may ask her to wear a life jacket on the slides. As far as the pools being really deep, most are pretty shallow, and if she has trouble "swimming out" of the pool, a lifeguard will be more than happy to assist her.|||None of them are deep,
the water rides are 4ft and less mostly 3ft i think.
but there are life guards at every ride section and area.
nothing to worry about =)
ok so im 20 and my dads ganna buy me and my lil bro (11) season passes to go there. thing is, i dont mind going but im not to happy bout my arms, there pretty skinny...i used to work out since mid feb but stopped cuz i really needed to focus on college work. anyways, i got a 6 pack, dk if that helps....
i guess my question really is: whats the best/fast way to increase in the arm area as well as get a tan b4 i go..you could say i got a farmers tan..it stops halfway up my arm and my neck...so if i just sit in the sun for like 30 min a day would it help?
he plans on buying the season pass bout this mid month|||Start lifting weights, anything that's heavy enough to strain your arms, use sunblock on the areas of your body that already have enough "color" while your sun bathing for everyday for at least 30 mins. i need to know which has more better and faster rides...|||I like Hurricane Harbor, but I've never been to Wild Rivers. I would like to try Raging Water.|||Six Flags Hurricane Harbor...
though it's a bit far but I like Hurrican Harbor better than Wild Rivers!
What about Raging Water?
I'd still think that's the best...!!|||if you want in la area, then go with hurrcane harbor. wild rivers is in south orange county. it's closing after the end of this season, so if you have a strong urge to go, go before it's too late. raging waters is also in orange county.
can you wear a pair of shorts.. like the soffe ones on the water rides?
and what is your favorite ride at six flags new england?|||yes you can wear shorts there. i'd recommend it since your moving around and stuff, and a pair of bathing suit bottoms wouldn't work so well.|||yea, you can wear jeans for all they care!
NITRO is by far the best ride.

What day is less packed? I just want some information I cant get off the website. Please and Thank you for you opinions and facts.|||I love that place I used to go a lot when I was younger. There are a lot of families and it gets crowded because its summer and hot. There are all kinds of people fat and not....don't know why you need to know that though. There are loads of diff rent slides some are black tubes that don't let light in and some are blue that do and some are not even tubes. My favorite rides though are the ones where you are with a group and go down in a raft.
okay Next week im going to HH in texas and i have questions:
-Are we allowed to wear shorts and a shirt?
-i'm 5'6 and I can't swim, should i not go?
-any other things i should look out for?|||- Yes, but on the slides, probably not
- You can ask for a life jacket, I would stay out of the wave pool if you can't swim. It can be overwhelming and the depth drop off catches a lot of weak swimmers by surprise.
- No rivets on swimsuit or board shorts, they cut up the slides and they will not let you ride, even if you waited an hour for the slide.
mucho appreciated.|||Have you looked in the Entertainment Saversguide book? Which one do you prefer....?|||(this is assuming its in CA) well since its hot this summer if you want to get wet then youd better go to hurricane harbor. number one, its cheaper; only bout $30 a day and usually all their water rides are open everyday. like other people said the wave pool closes often, yes its true but its not that bad of a wait and the wave pool goes for for about 15 min so while your catching your breath waiting for the next one you can catch some rays. i suggest you go during the middle of the week seeing as it is the summer and the weekends are crowded. six flags magic mountain is better left for the evenings or when it cools down because the lines can get pretty long. Hurricane Harbor is open on the weekdays from 10:30am - 7:00pm and weekends from 10:00am - 8:00pm and Magic Mountain on weekdays 10:30am - 10:00pm. Saturdays 10:00am - 12:00pm and Sundays 10:30am - 7:00pm. i hope this answers your question|||six flags...Hurricane Harbour sucks!|||Six Flags. There wasn't much to do at Hurricane Harbor, compared to other water parks that are part of amusement parks.
The last time I was there, we waited twenty minutes for the break to end so that we could get in the wave pool. They turned the waves on for like five seconds. Then it stopped. After twenty minutes, they ordered another break. Everyone was booing as they got out of the pool.|||definitely six flags|||Six Flags|||go to SIX FLAGS. Hurricane harbor is a piece of crap !!!
which one is better? we are going to one or the other but which one is better?|||Well Hurricane Harbor is awesome and the water rides and different parts of the park are really cool. If its hot out you definitely want to go to hurricane harbor. It might be a little packed so you want to get there early when it just opens. The wave pool they have is probably where you'll be at for a majority of the time and is sorta the main thing there. I suggest that while your there you go on the giant tube rides, they're extremely awesome and really fun. On the one ride though it seems like your going to fly over the edge. I go there every year and I have a lot of fun, so if your the type of person who loves water rides, swimming, or relaxing by the wave pool, you definitely want to go to Hurricane Harbor instead of six flags.|||Six Flags without question! Hurricane Harbor is fun, but it's pretty small, but six flags is huge! And that advice about if it's hot, well there are several water rides in six flags that can cool you off throughout the day if you need it!|||It depends if you like roller coasters or not. Hurricane Harbor is fun, but the water rides are more for kids then the roller coasters are. Ok...so we are supposed to put our things in our locker room, right? So where do we put our key?
We can't wear a necklace on our ride, right?
So...where to put? :O|||The keys used to have an elastic cord attached to them so you can wear it as a bracelet. But alot of them have broken off. Look for a good one when you are looking for a locker. Or bring your own keychain with an attachment that you can use as a bracelet and attach the key to that.
Hopefully soon they will be going to the system like disney has where you open the door using a code instead of a key. I think the ones inside of Magic mountian are already like that since last year.
Good luck and have fun!|||put it in your bag easier|||omg thats so true... weird.. i have no f*ckin clue im stumped|||You can safety pin the locker key to your shorts.

Just curious to know if anybody knows about water shoes being allowed at six flags in gurnee, IL. or any six flags for that matter? I went to the website and it says they're not allowed on water slides, but I've seen plenty of pictures with people wearing them at water parks, what about wearing shirts over swimsuits, I've also seen guys in t-shirts getting on water rides. Do they really care once ur there?|||i went there a few weeks ago and i've seen all of the above. i don't think they really care.|||Well, if you have to wear them wear um, but the shirts are allowed in the water but if you go down the slides they make you take it off.|||they are allowed at six flags|||No. water shoes, hats, glasses,or shirts, are not allowed but some of the workers are lazy and like to cut people slack (like me) so they dont really say anything.
can you waer t-shirts and shorts over your baithing suits on their water rides?
or do you have to take them off?|||I don't know which hurricane harbor you're talking about. However, I'm very certain all of them allow you to wear something over your swimsuit. I recommend you contact the six flags theme park you're going to and ask if you may wear t-shirts and shorts or not.
I'm not too far from the location in Gurnee, IL. From what I remember, they allow you to wear something, but they advise to not carry items that may be damaged by water.
Obviously you must be from the area and gone to all of these places

Does anyone know why it doesn't open until Mid June? It opens at the end of May for 3 days, then the first weekend in June and then officially at 12th of June it opens right up until Mid September.|||Pretty simple, really. (BTW, Hator, I give out the DUHs here, and this one doesn't quite qualify).
Yes, it's too cold most of the year. And because it's too cold, people won't go. It's really an attendance thing. The reason it's open for a few days in May and June are because of attendance. The last weekend in May is a holiday, and June weekends are when people start going to water parks.|||well duh to you on this question! it's too damn cold to open before then, yes the weather may be warm, but the water will be FREEEEZING
btw, don't ever go there, it's utterly disgusting! A friend of mine use to work with the maintenance crew there, and his team was responsible for cleaning the water and stuff, he said on any given day of operation, they could easily filter out over 50 gallons of urine out of the water, GROSSSSS
how they did it, don't ask me
Raging Waters is the best and cleanest. It is not as new as the other ones, but it has the most rides and they are all very close together so you don't spend a lot of your time walking around the hot cement, you get to have super fun on the super rides. it is also the best deal. one downfall you don't have magic mountain right next to you like at hurricane harbor. or knotts berry farm like at soak city. and it depends on where you are coming from as well.
good luck and happy waters!|||go w raging waters, probably the oldest and best kept up!
Im not alowed to wear bathing suits so can i wear shorts and a tank top/shirt when i go on water rides?? and how can i change back to my normal clothes after wards.
How much is the food?? is their a subway their how much is the food is it like pizza $5 or something. and how much are the souviners like the old guy puppet etc... thanks...in advance|||Since, you are talking about Hurricane Harbor, no you can't wear shorts, and a shirt in Hurricane Harbor only, but read on for further details. You have to wear a bathing suit. If you are guy, you can just wear the trunks, and wear a shirt, and if you are girl you have to wear your full piece bathing suit (top and bottom) but you could wear a shirt over your bathing suit if you want to!
For changing into other clothes, they have changing rooms, or you can use the bathroom. For storing your clothes, they have lockers and they are pretty expensive. I think they are around $10 plus.
How much is food?? It's very, very expensive! Across the street from Great America (to the left of Burger King - short distance away), there is a Subway that should have $5 footlongs though. Expect $10 for a meal at Great America. What, drinks about $3.50, or $4 alone.
For souveniers, and Mr. Six stuff, I don't know if they even have puppets, but there shirts are like $20.|||Would it be too personal if I did ask why a young girl such as yourself cannot wear a bathing suit? Yeah..you can wear shorts and a tank top on the rides but it would just look different since all boys will be too. The food is priced up though..thinking about $8-$10 and the souviniers are around $10-$20.

How do the lockers work? I heard that they don't actually lock. So, that worries me a little.
Also, if I buy a disposable camera and bring my sunglasses, can I bring hold those with me on the slides?
Thanks!|||leave everything in your locker even your camera they didn't let me bring it and told me to go put it away the guy told me that those were rules of the waterpark|||The lockers lock. I use them sometimes with my friends. You get a key that you can carry around. If you think you can keep hold on the camera and sunglasses or if you have a pocket and you don' mind them getting wet, you should be able to bring them. Also, if you have somebody waiting in a lounge chair by the wave pool or somewhere, you could probably keep your stuff with them. Have fun! The new slide looks awesome!

There are 20!
Which Hurricane Harbor!
There are 2!
So my birthday is coming up and I decided I could do something everybody likes; an amusement park! ( I am inviting friends)
I need to make a decision between those two. And I just cannot figure it out.
I hope you guys can help me ;)|||If it's a hot summer day, then you may as well do Hurricane Harbor. Remember that it's a water park, and it has only water slides, pools, etc so it's a bathing suit kind of place for the day, and there's nothing to do outside of getting wet. It's perfect for a hot summer day, and little kids, tweens, teens, and adults have plenty to do to keep them busy at the park. If everyone is a good swimmer, and you are okay with some "wet fun" then go with Hurricane Harbor".
If you can stand the big crowds, and most of your friends, and you are into roller coasters, then go with Magic Mountain. Magic Mountain is definately an amusement park, with rides, shows, etc, whereas Hurricane Harbor is a waterpark, with again, only wet and water based things to do. Remember that both places will be crowded since it's summer, so do what most fits your interests.|||If it's hot, I highly recommend Hurricane Harbor. If you're going to stand in line for forever, you might as well have something to cool you off afterwards.
If not so, I'd go with Magic Mountain, there's more rides to go on.|||No questions asked.......

Is Saturday any worse than Sunday in reference to crowds? Thanks.|||Both Saturday's and Sunday's are extremely busy at Hurricane Harbor in Arlington. how do girls dress? do they walk around with their bikinis or do they just
wear some shorts with a shirt?? lol
thankkss :)|||Which Sea World are you going to? Sea World can be very entertaining and informative. Many of the shows are fascinating peaks at how these rarely seen creatures live. Some are designed specifically with children in mind, ie the Adventures of Seymour and Clyde. Sea Worlds typically have a few rides, with the exception of the now defunct Ohio location, which offer a change from moving from show to show. Only the park in San Antonio has a connected water park, and Orlando has Aquatica which requires a separate admission. I think proper decorum dictates that you shouldn't walk around the park in your bikini, especially if you are attending a park that does not have water attractions. A light shirt and shorts will insure you are comfortable. Please check out www.seaworld.com for more information on the park you will be attending.|||Not really it can get really boring.
Definitely Great Adventure, more roller coasters than any other park I know. Hurricane Harbor is just water slides.|||hurrican harbor rocks!|||great adventure all the way|||great adventure has the kingda ka,skull mountian, and the nitro even though it doesn't have the most coaster of any parks it has the most inversions on roller coasters than any other park!|||i love great adventures the best...great adventures has all the chill coasters n rides n wat not but hurricane harbor has the water rides...the only thing that sucks is the lines are crazy long...so it comes down to do u feel like bein dry n waitin in like for 45 minutes or bein wet n waitin in line for 45 minutes (lol)|||Six Flags Great Adventure is much better than its nearby water park, Hurricane Harbor. SFGA holds the world's tallest and fastest roller coaster Kingda Ka, along with other great rides like Medusa and NITRO (#5 on the Amusement Today Top 50 Coasters List). Not to mention the new wooden coaster El Toro which features a brand new prefabricated type of track that supposedly makes the ride "as smooth as steel". But the park lacks thrill rides (aka flat rides) like Cedar Point's maXair, and Skyhawk. They also (as of May 2005 when I went) lack a logical exit, it narrows down to just 2 lanes and if you leave at closing its a nightmare, it took us literally 2 HOURS to get out of that park (the park closed at 9 and we pulled out onto the main road at 11).
But overall its a GREAT park and you should certainly go without a question.|||neva been to hurrican harbor but great adventure is HoT|||great adventure

Yes, I'm a girl and i hate wearing those underwear bikini bottoms. I like to wear board shorts or soffe shorts. Is that alright?|||You can wear board shorts or other tyes of swim shorts, but those are the only types of shorts that they will allow. You cannot wear sunglasses on the rides, they will make you take them off and hold them. They really is no need for them at a water park. Make sure the shorts that you wear are elastic waist, they don't allow buttons, snaps, or other types of metal ornamentation, though they will allow drawstrings if they don't have metal rivets.|||Yeah your allowed to wear them :)
Have fun, its a great park
because i have a little brother that cant swim|||Wrong category but most pools are 2-6 feet deep with the wave pool being 10 feet deep. there are shallow areas where children can play and swim.|||What is hurricane harbor? I found this online, Six Flags ride?
http://www.sixflags.com/hurricaneHarborT鈥?/a>
I've always heard a baby can drown on a teaspoon of water. Not sure that's true but it doesn't take much to fill a person's lungs. See if he can wear a life preserver. The ride may not even allow him on?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drowning|||In Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Theme Park in Los Angeles the pools would be of varying depths that should be posted and have lifeguards. The pools will likely be of varying depths from being a couple of feet up to perhaps 8 to 10 feet. If you go there keep a close eye on your little brother and if he goes into the water make 100% sure that he is wearing a life jacket. Do not take your eyes off of him and have fun~!!!!!
Going to huricane harbor tomorrow and idk what to do with my phne i cnt get a locker or leave it in the car cuz i need my phone to know when our ride hme is on the way and what time it is and there.s only 2 of us gng so theres no one to hold it. What can i do|||well i work at the park and at mine, we have lockers available for 14 dollars :(
You can ask guest relations and if all else fails make a huge hassle of it and they may hold on to it for you. But yeah if they don't have lockers you may be out of luck.
I def wouldn't leave it on a chair, another idea is to have someone hold your stuff while you ride and alternate but that obviously has its drawbacks as well. I would probably get a locker and have the person responsible for picking you up to have them text you. I think Guest relations will tell you the same thing.
Can I just wear a regular tank top w/the bottoms(boy shorts) of the bikini?:0 Or it must all be bikini?|||Wear all bikini. The people in the park are strict and are not afraid to not let you go on the slide after you waited for an a half an hour. You must wear all swim wear to be permitted for the rides.|||All bikini. You have to wear swimwear to go in the pools and on the slides.
ive never been to any, but i saw hurricane harbor,nj's website, and they only have 9 rides...1 is a wave pool..1 is a lazy river...1 is that high slide...those are like any typical water parks of course. so thats already 3 eliminated. the other 6...i heard the good one is called the tornado. then everything else is like for kids wich sounds boring
Deffinetly dorney park! They have the most amazing-ist lazy river ever. And those water rides are just outstanding. I loved it. Six flags is boring. ha
Hope I helped :)|||Dorney Park. Too many New Yorkers at Hurricane Harbor for me.|||hurricane harbor|||Hmm... judging by the name i think dorney park is better. (i have no idea what a dorney is so i'll go with it)

Thank You|||since the policy page says "Swimwear with rivets or any other metal ornamentation is not permitted on the water slides" and the swimsuit has metal on it, im guessing you probably shouldnt risk it.
Hurricane Harbor is fun and heights isn't a problem primarily since you cannot actually feel how high you are as you slde down. the thing is as you walk up the stairs to get up the slide you start seeing how high you really are, so as long as you don't look down and keep yourself distracted while going up the stairs it will be all right.|||Well, it depends on the rides you go to... there are HUGE rides there, and there are some smaller ones. My advice is to start with Wild Rivers or Raging Waters. They have smaller, less intense rides but they still have the same amount of excitement!|||A fear of heights is an fear that one can over come if you choose to do so. And for some the easiest way to do so is to put yourself in a position to over come it. What better way then to do some thing absolutely fun and get over a fear at once sounds like a win win situation to me. You owe it to yourself to go!
Planning to go with my BF, Which is better if we're both thrill seekers?|||Thrillseekers huh? Soak City is more family oriented. Hurricaine Harbor is a little more mature and has more rides. It is next to Six Flags and also it costs like 20 bucks much cheaper than Soak City|||Neither you should go to Ranging waters.
in july im going to six flags new england. i know they just opened their new water slide. the tornado. i want to know if they have and more like a two person tube shoots down into a funnel and they go in a circle a few times then drop through the middle into a pool.
do they have one of those?|||edit:oh i dont know that ride so i dont know if they do
Is Six Flags Hurrican Harbor in NJ open tommorrow Jun 21, because I want to go tommorrow and I check the calender 2 weeksago and it said it will be open but when I just check it says it will be close. Do yall no why the change it?? Do you think it will be open??|||Yes it will be open|||Yes it is open for buiseness have fun! :)
im going to hurricane harbor with some friends and i just remembered i cant swim AT ALL. im 5 ft 10, will i be ok on the rides? i know there are some that im going to just sit out for, but will i enjoy most of the park?
also, im fat. do any of the rides allow tshirts? if not, i guess i can rock a wetsuit, but id rather just wear a tshirt lol|||idk what hurricane harbor is...but we have a waterpark here and yeah they usually let people wear a whole outfit of clothes if they wanna lol...
There are usually rides/activities where the water is shallow. ( I know all this bc my husband is a wussy when it comes to water lol) I still have a great time on the kid rides too. Most of the adult rides here are slides, and when you get to the bottom pool, the water is only like 3 feet deep. Dont worry, There is always lifeguards incase you start to panic :-)|||Well, I'm going to HH and it's pretty crazy there. If you can't swim, don't go in the wave pool. You should be fine with most of the water slides though because you can just stand in the water. ;)|||they wont mind you wearing a t shirt but you can go on the bucket and any ride with a raft. youll enjoy about 80% of the park|||your arent gonna have fun tho =[ sorry u shud learn how to swim its not to hard! =]
Which water park is the best? My family and I are going to a water park and just can't decide where! So many options. Um, here's a request, it has to be shady with trees. Give an opinion/fact on each one of them.
i.e. Raging Waters- good rides, long lines, etc.
Hurricane Harbor- in Los Angeles, hotter, etc.
like that.
Raging Waters - San Dimas
Wild Rivers - Irvine
Hurricane Harbor - Los Angeles
Knott's Soak City - Buena Park|||All i know is that Soak City BLOWS. Its too small and just a couple of rides. I prefer Hurricane Harbor, because they have more play stuff for the kids and a season pass is really cheap|||raging waters is great. Its really big and you will have plenty to do, there is some shade you may want to rent a cabana
wild rivers is also great, but some rides are located far away from each other and require some walking, good amount of shade, and lots of places to rest
hurricane harbor is okay, it has fun rides, but it is extremely hot in the summer and you won't want to leave the wave pool. There is hardly any shade her and if there is shade it will still be blazing hot
soak city would be your last choice if you want to spend the day at a water park. the rides are fun but it is so small you can finish everything in 4 hours. Soak city offers a nice area with lounge chairs and a huge covered patio for guest to rest under|||I haven't been to Wild Rivers but I've been to Soak Cty, Hurricane Harbor, and Raging Waters.
Out of all of them I found Raging Waters the best.
It's much bigger than the 3 and there's a variety of cool rides and the lines are not that bad (but it really depends the day you go).
That's about it. :]
P.S.
There's not THAT much shade at Raging Waters but there is a big grass area that does have a decent amount of shade.|||I prefer Knott's Soak City! The one in Palm Springs is fantastic!|||i like soak city and wild rivers the best

Hurricane Harbor (Six Flags) location in Hwy. 360 & Interstate Hwy. 30 next to Six Flags over Texas - Dallas, Texas|||Yes, indeed! I love the Lazy River! It's a blast!|||Hurricane harbor is a park where on summer time people from all over the city or even state comes to enjoy its varieties of water rides, different water slides, canoeing and all kind of sources of fun for the whole family they have a place for children as they have a place for grown people to enjoy the water rides, it would be an unfforgeteable memories for your whole family and is a huge, huge park located close to the museum of wax and Six Flags over TX all along on hwy 30 west coming from downtown Dallas passing Grand Prairie close to Arlington TX.|||I've been when it was called Wet N Wild. It was OK back then.
So I really would like to be a lifeguard at Hurricane Harbor this summer. I am 16 so I an old enough to be one. But what I wont to know is about the training camp there. How hard is it really? And does HH pay for it(the training and CPR)?
So I know that you have to swim during the testing, but how long to you actually have?
I really what this to be answered by people who have worked at HH/are working at HH / or have just gotten the job there. The most up to date info would be fantastic.
Thanks=)|||Sorry I can't be much of a help, but your best bet would be to go on their website and find a number to call.
From my experience with amusement parks they do their own certifications and I know the 6 Flags near me does not use the standard red cross stuff. The red cross swimming requires 500 yards I believe and I would expect 6 flags to be relatively similar|||At 6Flags they use a company called Ellis & Associates. You start out as a shallow water guard & have the option to move to deep later. The swim for shallow is 50 yards and to pick up a 10 lbs brick at 4 ft. you will learn all your CPR, O2, AED training and water training. its totally worth it all!! Report Abuse
I've never been, but my husband told me the water in most places is only around 4ft deep!|||50ft deep|||I have been there recently and the lazy river is about 3.5 ft deep the skull island is about 2.5 feet There is another kiddie pool about two inches. The wave pool goes from two inches to 5 feet but you can rent and use tubes soanyone can go in the wave pool. The slide pools are ALL 4 ft

The water parks at Disney World are the only water parks worth going to anyway, IMHO.|||Go to great adventure. You can always go on the water rides there like the flume and congo rapids. for my birthday I want to do something fun and active, but NOT clubbing or something like that. (I'm in university).
I'm thinking between six flags magic mountain, Knot's berry farm or six flags Hurricane Harbor, (for those who don't know the first 2 are attraction parks with scary rides http://www.sixflags.com/magicMountain/ri鈥?/a> and the last one is water park with rides)
I will invite my friends but they have to pay for themselves (about 25-30 $, around 15 people) but some of my friends are scared of the rides, and I'm not sure if some would like the water park...
or should we just go to bowling.... ? get pizza and bowl have fun...? (it's cheaper but less fun..)
advice??

there is kinda a big problem with me and water. i exactly dont know how to swim over my height. im 5" feet. and i panic if my feet dont touch the ground when in water, im in choir and were taking a field trip to hurricane harbor after our choir competition. im going on may 8th and im kinda scared i might drown, i was wondering if any of you guys know if im gonna be ok with all the rides water height. the deadline is very close and i need help. any suggestions would be great. thnx (:|||Six Flags, (and Hurricane Harbor in particular), have well trained waterfront staff who are always on the lookout for people in in the water who are having trouble. Many of the water rides are slides with a shallow landing pool at the bottom. The water is usually less than 3 feet deep with at least one lifeguard there to help you to the exit if needed. My child is 4 feet tall and can easily touch ground all throughout the lazy river and there at lifeguards everywhere along the way. I can't remember the name of the wave pool, but you may want to avoid it because it is the deepest pool in the park. It resembles the beach waves and starts out shallow and gradually gets deep enough to be over my head and I am 5'9''. It may fun to sit where the waves hit the "shore" though. Also the wave pool has the more lifeguards than all of the other attractions. Go, get wet, have fun! I'm sure you will do fine because there is something for everyone there.|||Go on the kiddie rides at first that have to do with water and then youll be all like (I can do better than this!) And fix it by moving up. Alsoooo, you can just go for it and make your friends sign a contract or something that says something like if you refuse to go, they can hit you or something like you owe them 20 bucks or something. Once you go on one and find that you didn't die, you'll have more fun I promise(:

I Needa Take My Phone But I Dont Want A Locker -___-
Can I Take A Bag Instead And Hide It In 2 Towels?
And If So If I Need To Carry My Bag Everywhere &Will That
Not Let Me Go Down The Slides?|||I just went to hurricane harbor yesterday and left my phone in my bag under my chair and it was fine the WHOLE day. You can hide it in 2 towels and it should be perfectly fine. I would carry it everywhere if you decide to ride roller coasters. They will not let you ride slides with your bag. Even your not COMPLETELY against getting a locker a small locker runs for $12 for the whole day. Hope that helped!
So my girlfriend, her sister, myself, and a couple of other friends (four females, which makes me the only male in this group) are looking at a June Six Flags trip. I did most of the planning work, and I am so excited about this trip that I already have the directions ready to be printed out.
All five of us reside within the Philadelphia region, so we're going to the one in Jackson, NJ. With that being said, we're aware that there is Great Adventures and Hurricane Harbor. I was drawn by the name Hurricane Harbor and thought that it would be more interesting than Great Adventures.
I've looked at a map for both parks to discover that Great Adventures was more bigger than Hurricane Harbor, so then my interest went back to Great Adventures. I originally was going to take a trip to both parks on the same day but decided against it because for one person, both parks would be $69 something, and my girlfriend's sister would have to drive back and fourth, so I'm not so sure if the different rides and food options would be worth the money. Plus there's already a $15.00 fee for parking.
I thought that maybe Hurricane Harbor had a bigger water park. I don't know. Does Great Adventure have a water park? I mainly want those who have already been to either parks and have the Six Flags experience but people who have NOT been to Six Flags may answer too. Also, is there a picnic area like at Dorney Park?
Does the NJ Turnpike, the Tacony Palmyra Bridge, or the Black Horse Pike have one of those dark tunnels lit by the beautiful orange lights? I LOVE those tunnels. My girlfriend and I want to have to go through those on the way there. Suggestions? Thoughts?|||This is all you need to know...Hurricane Harbor is purely a waterpark and Great Adventure is a "dry" park - it's the type that has rollercoasters, flat rides, shows, etc. (there are some water rides, like log flume and rapids ride). So basically if you just want to go on water rides (slides, pool, etc.), then HH is your answer...if you are looking forward to rollercoasters and other basic amusement park rides (skyride, ferris wheel, etc.) then go to Great Adventure. If you go to the website, you should be able to determine pretty quickly that Hurricane Harbor is just a waterpark and Great Adventure does not have a waterpark inside of it...
It's really hard to do both parks in one day - so I would advise you just to pick one, especially since Great Adventure is a pretty decent size.
I'm not sure about the picnic area...I know they have one, but I think you need to pay for it (it's used for groups and you need to reserve it...I think) - but I'm not 100% sure, you can call and ask.
Umm..and I don't know about the tunnel thing...
Hope that helps. Just look at the two websites (Great Adventure and Hurricane Harbor) and check out the ride list and see which one interests you guys more.|||it just depends what your group is in the mood for. looking for thrills? then go to adventure. it's a hot day and you want to cool off? go to hurricane harbor. i've been to six flags great america which has a lot of similar rides to great adventure and it's super fun but so is hurricane harbor because i've been there too. have fun!

*So, I want some reviews of this Hurricane Harbor park, and do you think a person like me who can't handle roller coasters can brave out these rides?*

There's this promotion that I've seen on tv that says six flags tickets are buy one get one free. Is hurricane harbor included in this deal or is it only for six flags? Thanks.|||I'm not sure which Six Flags park you are talking about, but I'll tell you the two possibilities.
*If Hurricane Harbor is normally included in your park admission for free*
Yes, the buy one get one free offer will let you get into the amusement park and Hurricane Harbor.
*If Hurricane Harbor is normally a separate ticket you must buy*
No, Hurricane Harbor is not included in this deal.
If you are unsure which category your park falls into, go to sixflags.com and choose your park. If Hurricane Harbor is included in your park admission for free, then the title of your park will be "Six Flags (park name) and Hurricane Harbor".
I hope I could help!|||It's only for Six Flags.
Hurricane Harbor is a separate park with separate admission prices.
But Hurricane Harbor is just $20, so that shouldn't be a problem.
And next time please specify which Six Flags your taking about,
There are over 20! and there are 3 Hurricane Harbors!|||Nope you have to buy a separate ticket for the harbor.Sorry.Only coke cans from Jersey are accepted also.

im gonna go to six flags with my friends. im wondering if we can also fit hurricane harbor in with that. were gonna be there from when the park opens to when it closes. we wanna go on most of the roller coasters but would we still be able to fit hurricane harbor in with out rushing & stuff?|||if you mean the six flags great america one you can do it.
the key is getting their before the park opens then running to raging bull when the inside part of the park opens. From there you can do giant drop then viper. If you move at a fast pace this should take no longer then 45 mins. use the other 15 mins to go to a bathroom(the one by the orbit and the 3 point shootout works best.) Change your clothes in there and then your ready to ride. Ride typhoon first in the waterpark then the purple speed slide riptide rush then the blue slide next to it. After that do whatever water rides your heart desires. At the end of the night in the last hour you should try and ride superman and v2 so u avoid them during peak hours. Sprinkle in the other rides you want to do during the day and have a great time|||you should be able to. i would recommend looking online for a map of the park before you go, and try to prioritize where you want to go. it would be easiest to go to hurricane harbor either first or last, rather than in the middle. if you go first then you can dry off on all the rides but it cuts rollercoaster time shorter. there are also different hours for hurricane harbor versus the whole park, so you should look into that.
have fun!! :D|||If your talking about Great Adventure maybe.I've been noticing on weekdays the park is kinda dead(Avg has been 12,000 for Ga-6,000 for the water park). Some days they haven't even opened Hurricane.Yo may be able to do it all.If you have the cash for the Flash Pass.It could be done. We've also been closing earlier since the bankruptcy.Call the park before you go to make sure evey things open 732-928-2000.|||Nope they don't allow Jonas Brothers stalkers in!

then if you are...
Okay, if you go then there are 9 rides that have a raft so you would be okay on those. i would stay away from shotgun falls and hydramaniac because they both end up in 12 ft pools. i would also stay away from der stuka and Geronimo...they end up in 4 1/2 ft of water but some people freak out there. there are a few other body slides that would be fine for you. hope you have fun!!
Hurricane Harbor? At Six Flags Great America? In Illinois? I don't believe that thats going to be closing anytime soon, seeing as it only recently opened and took much time to complete.|||go to http://www.sixflags.com/national/index.a鈥?/a> i think it'll help|||Which Hurricane Harbor?? If your talking about the one in valencia, california, it is NOT closing down. Six Flags has confirmed that Magic Mountain and Hurricane Harbor will be open for business in 2007 and beyond on their official website.|||doubt that it will|||lots of the six flags theme and water parks have been sold but most have plans to open up under other names and private companies
i'd like to buy tickets online for me and a group of friends going tomorrow. when i buy the tickets, can i just select the number of people going? i'm using my mom's credit card to purchase these tickets. will there be any problems with buying the tickets? i've never bought tickets online, i'd usually buy them up front at the gates.|||Yes, just select the number of people that are going.
And print the tickets.
I would recommend buying the tickets before you go to SFHH,
but there is no problem on buying them on the same day.
Just make sure you have enough ink and paper and you should be fine.
Have Fun!!!
.|||Yea. Buying tickets online is easy. First, just go to: http://www.sixflags.com/hurricaneHarborN鈥?/a>
In the top right corner, it says "get tickets". Click on it. Then Select what you want. ( Season Pass; groups; general daily tickets; meal vouchers; parking) Click buy and then select whatever you want. Then it will say quantity. Just enter however many people are going. It will let you print out the tickets at home.
im going on vacation in 2 weeks, and we were thinking about going to six flags hurricane harbor. i was just wondering how it is and any special places to go in hurricane harbor....|||it's actually pretty fun
there's a bunch of water slides and a small little man-made river that goes around the park(saves you the walk lol) so you can kinda swim around
um...personally i like all the rides and slides so i wouldn't know what to tell you to visit. but the twister(tornado? i forgot the name of it...) is definitely worth stopping by
hope this helps and have fun on your vacation ^-^|||its fun you'll love it|||i never been there though my friend works there and she says it nicee there is planty to doo.. youll have funnn|||cool but magic mountain, which is rite next to it, is better
does a sixflags season pass work at hurricane harbor also???
please tell me cuz im planing to go to hurricane harbor soon:]]|||Six Flags (theme park) season passes will not work at Hurricane Harbor. The same applies to Hurricane Harbor season passes; they will not work at Six Flags. These are seperate gate parks, and each will require seperate admission.
However, if you have a season pass for a Six Flags park with a nearby Hurricane Harbor, then you MAY find some discount coupons in your season pass coupon book.
Hate to bring the bad news, but you will have to pay to get into Hurricane Harbor.
what is better soakcity or hurricane harbor and what is the difference between the two. i want to go with my girl but do not want to get on too many rides were we cannot go on the ride together,. we might go to soak city what is it like. thanks|||They are pretty much the same thing. They both have one of those giant funnel slides, they both have a wave pool, and they both have a lazy river.
I have only been to Hurricane Harbor, but I still think it is better than Soak City.
First of all, it looks like it is a lot bigger than Soak City.
Second, the slides there are a little higher up, like Venom Drop, one of those drop slides. It's freaking tall. Also it has the tallest enclosed slides in Southern California.
If you like scarier slides, you should go to Hurricane Harbor. Otherwise... well, to be honest I don't really know what to say about Soak City. But if you don't really go on those big slides, just go to whichever park is closer and/or cheaper.|||soak city is really fun. the rides are really fun but there not really scary. but that doest mean u shouldnt go!! =D not only are there rides but they have a wave pool, and another type of pool. and do u mean u wanna like sit with her on a ride or somethng like that? becuz theres like this white ride and you can ride with 2 ppl. just wait for the double tube thingy and go on it together! =D you should go to soak city...the rides arent tht scary but its fun and not rly boring at all. if you go there, you and ur girl should have a great time! ive seen lots of couples go there to so..yea.. it pretty fun!! =D Have fun wherever u go!!|||all i know is that hurrican harbors tickets are cheaper :D

(:|||You should be fine. Most ride limits are about 350.|||Most ride limits are 350.|||Most ride limits are 350
What are some good rides to ride and what there? this is my first time ever going to Hurricane harbor,thannnks(:|||- You can go there were in this rides_
The water parks listed below on this page are Southern California's largest. And, although they each give their water slides and attractions different names, you'll find the following general features at each one:
1.) A Wave Pool: You'll be able to swim in a gigantic-sized pool that, at intervals, turns on the "ocean waves!"
2.) A Lazy River: You'll be able to hop aboard an inner tube, lay back, and relax as you float gently around in an oval-shaped path kickin' it with your friends.
3.) Rafting Slides: These tall slides require a raft for zooming down...and the rafts hold several people. (Riding with more people gives you more weight than riding solo...and therefore, more ZOOM power.)
4.) Body Slides: These are slides you zoom down with "just your body" touching the slides. These slides come in slopes from "mild to wild." The wildest of these slides are so steep that you'll actually get some "air time" on your way down...and end up with a major wedgie when you're done, as well!
5.) Water Play area: When you're tired of swimming and sliding, why not pick a fight? A WATER fight, that is! Southern California's water parks feature water play areas where you can generally shoot your friends with a water gun...or simply stand under a torrent of water and get showered!
6.) Baby, toddler, and preschooler areas: All the major water parks have waveless pools, gentle fountains, and miniature slides made with the younger set in mind.
7.) Snack bars, gift shops, locker rooms: All of SoCal's major water parks keep your tummy full and your shopping cravings satisfied.|||Note that the first answer is a general listing of S.Cal sites.
What makes "good"?
Hurricane Harbor has most of what is listed although I would not call most of them rides - an exception being when you get to drag a large innertube to the top of a river like trip. The place has several body slides that are high and higher and one with humps. There are several closed tube runs some long, one dark, most very twisty, one not so that ends with a greater drop into the water. There is a large slow river around the wave pool. http://www.sixflags.com/hurricaneHarborT鈥?/a>
Note - it will be really, really hot this week - I never go before about 5pm but I am old.
Im going to Hurricane Harbor someday this month. Which days would be least crowded. I get out of school on the 17th ofthis month.
Are there any rides that I should defineley go on? Do any rides give you the g force feeling?Im 13 by the way|||I went yesterday and I am going tomorrow and some rides you should definitely check out are the Big Kahuna, The Tornado and the Wahoo Racers. If your looking for something a little calmer try the Gulley Washer Creek(Lazy River) or the wave pool.|||you should go on a weekday its the days its least crowed you should go on the big kahoona its cool and there are some slides next to it and they are really fun are you could just relax in the wave pool i am going tomorrow i cant wait :]
